Angle has been arrested for drink driving and is looking at jail time because it's the second time this year it's happened.

The truth is that the show is very good and is also improving. The US is a massive country and WWE are a massive company. You can't expect to overhaul them overnight, especially when wrestling generally is in such a slump that even they are having trouble. But if TNA have a problem, it's exposure and publicity. Not the product, which clearly can attract an audience.”

the ratings are very up and down 230k 1 week then 297k the next then 214k the week after...back and forth. but there is a steady amount of viewers.

Remember tna is on freeview so thats bumped up the ratings, they seem to have stalled at the moment. Maybe the full switch over might gain then some more regulars

Angle using the chair and then shoving it right at the feet of the ref who had to pretend not to notice... Hilarious fail.

Second hour of Impact last night was excellent, superb wrestling from the X-Division guys, Styles vs. Daniels and Sting vs. Angle (excluding the ending).

Really looking forward to seeing Jeff Hardy again next week. I loved the way they had backstage reactions and such, like AJ Styles saying "I guess life throws up third and fourth chances as well". Little things like that go a long way to make a more realistic product. As I've said before, Jeff is only 33 - a year younger than John Cena - and when fit and healthy, is a goldmine.

I don't think they've stalled, the general trend since the move to Freeview has been upwards. A few months ago they were struggling to break the 200k barrier and now it's a given that they do. It's a slow but steady increase.

I think a little adjustment has to be for the move to Sunday being the original showing. Here are the latest ratings.

w/e 28 Aug 2011
000's

3 TNA PRESENTS IMPACT WRESTLING (TUE 2200) 209
5 TNA PRESENTS IMPACT WRESTLING (SUN 2100) 194

A total of over 400,000 viewers isn't that bad.

As suspected, they will take the occasional hit from Match of The Day. The first Impact on a Sunday was going head-to-head with an MOTD2 featuring United thrashing Arsenal 8-2, and City hammering Tottenham 5-1.

I would have preferred Saturday, but TNA's Sunday evening timeslot is much better than Tuesday's.

Is there any chance of an Impact taping here in the UK? I'm sure they could get a decent crowd.

saw impact last night, kinda boring i felt

whats point of having russo in creative team if your not gonna let him write 100%??? everything is watered down with boring in ring matches.

no out their crazy storylines going on,impact is good but its just too safe

Russo is probably single. You may aswell go ahead and ask him to marry you Whedon, it's getting beyond obsession now.

On a serious note, can anyone tell me the day and time that impact is shown first in the UK? and then repeated? I'm kinda getting back into it but taped an episode thinking it was the next and it turned out to be one I had already seen :/

Do! I love the fact that you've got such a strong opinion on Russo that goes against the grain; I disagree with you a lot of the time regarding Impact, but it's clear you're not a fanboy and just have strong opinions. The forum wouldn't be the same without you!

Really enjoyed Impact on Sunday. Shame to see Winter lose the title so soon, and her and Mickie didn't seem to be working together that well.

Great 'fake botch' from AJ - that guy's in-ring ability is off the scale. Classic attitude-era main event full of run-ins. Not everybody's cup of tea but I liked it.

Presumably if Angle might face jail time, it'd be wise to take the title off him sooner rather than later. Big blow for TNA if he goes inside.

Fair enough - knowing about Jeff wasn't much of a spoiler

You might be eating those words. Apparently, his blood alcohol level was UNDER the legal limit.

Looks as though he was arrested for failing sobriety tests. You know, like "say the alphabet backwards", which I can't do myself, completely sober.

If Russo writes 100%, I stop watching. He'll just attempt to turn Sting heel again, give the title to Eric Young and cut backstage to Jeff Hardy injecting heroin.

Saturday's were my preference, but the Freeview contingent didn't like that idea, because of Match of Manchester United being on at the same time.

Regarding a taping; Sky would need to go in with them, much like Spike are currently doing with TNA on the road in America.

It'd be quite simple, really. All that's needed is two or three cameras. The lighting is average and the entrance-way would need to be bigger as opposed to the "house" ones we get here. But the atmosphere, and the amount of money the British public would be willing to pay for a TV taping would be big positives for the brand. We'd most definitely show those American "fans" a thing or two. I imagine we'd be like the folks in Atlanta the day Goldberg beat Hogan for the World Title in 1998. Every move from Bill was like a goal being scored!

I did feel that somewhere down the line, Bravo/Virgin Media Television would go in with them for something over here, had VMTV not sold up and the contract remained intact. I'm 99% sure that Sky won't, given their love for the WWE product.

And did an excellent number all the same.

Summed it up perfectly for me. Glad they got out of Orlando too. Even if it IS 3,000 paying people, it's still vocal PAYING consumers.

1.4m viewers. Last week it was 1.6m.

From 1.21 last week to 1.06 doesn't particularly tell the whole story when you see how many people are actually watching the programme, which we've discussed a few pages back.

sting was never heel,he was right all along that hogan was not to be trusted,it was great writing
