Maybe down the line Xplosion could become Impact wrestling's version of Smackdown or have a brand new show launched. The roster is big enough, more programming would be great. Also the project in India is apparently a show that will be on a big network over there.

I think they should concentrate on getting a few consistent solid episodes of Impact together first before they try anything else.

Hulk put AJ over as the star of TNA this week.

What is he alluding to? What's Hogan said?

Yeah that was hilarious. Bobby Roode has more than earned his chance, is going into the biggest match of his career, on TNA's biggest show, yet the all powerful Hogan says he isn't ready. But he WILL sing the praises of Jeff Hardy. And TNA gave him another fat contract!

AJ did an interview years ago in which he said he'd read Bryan Alvarez and R.D. Reynolds book Death of WCW, and that he was pleased Hogan wasn't in TNA.

Word round the campfire suggests Hogan is still unhappy about it, and does his best to bury AJ.

This. Hogan looks out for one man: Hogan. TNA doesn't matter, the talent doesn't matter, the fans don't matter - if all these did he would stop trying to promote himself rather than promote the company and the talent. Once he receives his big pay cheque at the end of the month everything is just dandy for the Hulkster.

I would love it if Hogan's comments are a 'work' as he still is a heel. In interviews I've seen Hogan say that he is running impact wrestling so he's staying in character when he says that so maybe these comments are an extension of that?

That's what I was wondering. In his ESPN interview he was in character - well, without dropping 'brother' every 5 seconds - and was talking about how Sting had been talking trash about his problems with him running Impact wrestling etc.

It just seems strange that he would drop these comments in a single interview, as all his other promo work has been to big-up Roode vs. Angle as the main event.

Edit: In the interview in question Hogan even goes so far as to say that Angle will remain champ at BFG, which seems highly unlikely - I think he was straddling a fine line between Hogan and Terry in that interview.

Hogan's been known to spoil things in the past, and TNA aren't exactly in the habit of creating new stars and putting younger guys over.

Generally with predicting TNA, you take the most sensible option and pick the exact opposite of it. Granted I haven't watched TNA in about 16 months as it's awful, but from reading reports, knowing who is involved backstage, and knowing Angle's ego, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Angle retained. I hope I'm wrong though, as Bobby Roode is aces, and I'm still annoyed at TNA for making a mess of his partnership with Rain.

Fair points, TNA are often guilty of this. But the past month has featured relatively sensible booking, probably as a result of Russo no longer being the head creative writer.

I really would be shocked if Roode lost at BFG. If he does, I can only see it as a result of a James Storm heel turn, which I don't think is likely.

YouGuys are in for a treat, because that PPV- BoundForGlory2011 to me, is the best wrestling PPV of the calendar year.

Every match is a positive and it is a fantastic show. Well done TNA!

ive seen first match on BFG card,crowd seemed into it big time. which is weird for TNA

There was a pretty big crowd for BFG, and it wasn't just on one side for the benefit of the cameras like in the Asylum days either; TNA are starting get bigger audiences when they go out on the road.

They were really pushing Bound For Glory weren't they, for purely my own amusement while watching Impact wrestling on Challenge on sunday I tried to count all the times someone mentioned BFG and gave up at 37 after just 1 hour of the show which if you take the adverts out was 1 mention roughly every minute and a half.

Reading that, I did think that he could be involved with Xplosion, which would be fantastic.

It's a shame he has to start at the bottom of the pile and work his way up, but here's hoping he manages to get on the writing team for Impact. Guy clearly has ideas.


It's the biggest show of the year. Everything comes to a head and begins again at BFG, and even with the BFG series, they've been promoting it for months, in reality. They've done an excellent job, the turnout was fantastic and I just hope many people bought it, because it was well worth it. Even Sting/Hogan.

Nowhere near posting a spoiler there. Just letting the people know that they can actually UP their expectations for this PPV.

old timers put on a great match imo

I think the X-Division weight limit is a great idea too to help it get back to its roots.

When the likes of Abyss and Samora Joe were taking part in X-Division matches I just thought it was stupid.

joe was on of the best x champs they ever had

He was good, but having him as the champ of what is, in all but name, the cruiserweight/high-flying middleweight division just seemed at odds with the original spirit of it.

If you recall when the X-Division was first launched, it was pretty much a spot showcase. It moved on from there and became more of an ROH-type contest with the 'smaller' wrestlers doing their thing. When the heavyweights started playing in there I completely lost interest.

I think with the weight limit it'll go back to being a bit more ROH-ey - the BFG match was a good demo of that really - good story, good grappling, a few spots - a really cute mix.

Depends how many people paid and how many got free tickets.
