It seems there have been many songs this year that have only just or failed to make the top 40 making us abuse Radio 1 for not playslisting them or the artists not promoting.

What great songs that never got the success they deserved in 2010?

This is a good list actually. The most devastating thing about most of those songs is that they were quite mainstream. I think loads of people would've liked them, if only they actually got to hear them!! Some of those would've done really well if more radio stations played them.

A lot of hip hop songs under-perfomed aswell. Like No Love by Eminem. I can't fathom how he can have a (future) million seller, yet the following single got to #33 or something, and it was very good too. Kanye's songs also should've done so much better. Imma Be by the Black Eyed Peas was weird aswell. It got to #1 in the US, yet only got to #55 in the UK. I mean, not everything that gets to #1 in the US gets to #1 in the UK, but there's usually a large degree of correlation between the charts these days, so for a song to get to #1 in the US and miss the top 40 in the UK is really strange!

Also Alors on danse by Stromae should've done better. Again, radio stations didn't playlist it, so most people simply don't know the song, but it got to #1 all over Europe. It could've been massive, but I think people were put off it because it's in French.

On the note of European hits, Waka Waka by Shakira and Satellite by Lena should've been more popular too.

Also, similar to Eminem, some other artists had massive hits, and then following singles which just didn't get popular, even though they were also very good, such as Umbrella Beach and Vanilla Twilight by Owl City. Sure, wasn't expecting #1s from them, but they didn't even get into the top 75!!

I was going to mention that song, it has been one of my favourite songs this year. It really should have been higher i the charts, it's a good fun pop song.

Kate Nash - "Do-Wah-Doo".

I thought it was a pretty decent pop song which should have done a lot better than it did.
