The contestants on fame acadamy used to vote them out to, so nothing new and what is the point of the big "Twist" just for one week ??

Glad I am not the only one who remembers this from Fame Academy LOL.

I think it's right that it's only for one week though.

I made the same comment on the "news" thread earlier and nobody commented on it so I thought I must be the only one who remembered it . It seems a long time since it was on.

Yeah I clocked this in another thread - nicked from FA with the contestants voting out a bottom 2 person

They seem absolutely desperate to make it anything they can except a skating competition

What with that farce of the first two weeks with the contestants in the show 'proper' being decided by the public alone which nearly cost us one of the best skaters, sacking all the judges who have any actual competitive experience of ice dancing and now handing over the power to potentially kick off their biggest competitor to the celebs. Having these stupid twists doesn't make the show better. It wasn't broken so why are they trying to 'fix' it

On a slightly different note, I'd love Fame Academy to come back. I prefered it to X-Factor. Or at least the celebrity version for Comic Relief.

Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the celeb version (and I liked the ordinary one too).

I enjoyed the live feed, but they stopped that in the last series.
I remember the celebrity version where Jamie Cullum visited and Tara Palmer Tomkinson played the piano beautifully,
The only thing I didn't like about Fame Academy was that the coaches clearly had their favourites.

TPT tends to polarise opinion but I thought she was great on Fame Academy. She really moved me with her performances.

And yes I remember that moment with Jamie Cullum. Tara, Trisha and Angelica were a right laugh late at night on the live feed.

Have they borrowed some other shows producers? The celebrity vote to evict is from FA, the false start where no one is yet a housemate is borrowed from Big Brother. What next, eating bits of kangaroo on ice?
