What times to feed puppy?
I'm giving my 11 week old GSD 4 meals per day, the first at 6am and the last at 6pm.
Am I leaving her too long between the night and morning meals? She's really hyper on a night and just carrying stuff around, chewing stuff and being ageneral pest. I've tried keeping her in a crate overnight but for 2 nights all she did was cry and jump around (spilling water everywhere) and seemed very distressed despite reassurance. Someone has just entioned to me that perhaps I should give her a large meal just before I go to bed to help her settle better overnight but I'm not sure. |

We fed our golden 4 meals a day, 6am, 10am 2pm and 6pm. I checked with our vet at her check up/vaccs if this was OK (I too was worried about 12hrs between feeds) and he said it was absolutely fine. Pup is now 4mths old (18wks) and on 3meals a day now.
We were also very strict at not getting up to her in the night when she cried. Again, the vet backed this up. |

My pup was fed 8am 12, 4pm and 8pm. Never had any probs except she was a fussy eater. She's a year old now and on two meals - 10 am-ish, and 4 pm after her walk, sometimes later if we are out.
