Is there any way to change my username. Created my account in a bit of a rush and mispelt it!
I'd say your username looks cool, I also have a Doctor Who name and having a quirk is more interesting!

Why DS is this not part of your home page? I have asked DS for some instruction and I got no response.I was probably of course not asking in the right way! No instruction? I see many beleaguered FM's asking questions too. We are NOT all wizards of technology. Thank you to the FM who bumped this thread which I also wouldn't have a clue how to do

Shouldn't this thread be Pinned or something? It'd be more useful that way than floating around the forum like a lost balloon
EXACTLY !!!!!

The completely genuine question I need answering is what constitute a thread being closed as opposed to deleted?

Usually if the thread isn't constructive or goes completely off topic, it will be closed. In-fighting has a lot to do with that as well. Generally if a thread is deleted there may have been libellous posts. Or perhaps a potential court case is imminent, or ongoing, & therefore can't be discussed.

I don't get why people are obsessed with threads closing. They all disappear off of page 1 sooner or later anyway and mostly get forgotten.

Or if there is simply too many posts needing to be deleted which will then make the thread impossible to follow they also just delete it

I've never been able to get multiquote to work on Opera Mini it always brings up the normal quote function. Opera is a bit weird though TBH.

They just moderate a forum I doubt they are trained to deal with emergencies.

It is just something ongoing on here that would require a quicker response is what i mean by an emergency.
I was unsure how things are dealt with , i have never had a problem on here before in that respect other than the grammar police one time

How do you multi-quote posts as in reply to what people have quoted you all in one post?

Click on the middle of the 3 buttons in the bottom right corner of each post you want to quote; (the one with the + sign) the border will change colour then just click on add reply at the end of the thread as if you where not quoting anyone and all the posts will be there.
