How do I find my own posts/threads?

(1) Click Quick Links at the top of the page, then My Profile, then select either view all threads or view all posts.

(2) Click your name while browsing the forums, where you can also find links to view all your posts, or view your profile and then threads.Search for your user name using the search feature on the top navigation bar.

or

(3) Enable thread subscriptions, then go in your User CP to view all threads that you have posted in, and whether there are any new posts or not. To enable subscriptions, go to User CP > Edit Options > Default Thread Subscription Mode > No Email Notification.

Are you clicking 'New thread' ?. The poll option should be at the bottom of the page that comes up.

Yes, post a poll with this thread
Number of poll options:
tick the box which chooses a 'poll option'.

That's strange because it's working fine for me. Which browser are you using?

But you have been a member 7 years, not 2 months

Yuffie (member 4 months) says he hasn't got the option neither...

Ahhhhh right, you possibly have to have been a member for a specific period. I think it's the same if you try to start up a blog. (or it used to be).

How long do you have to be a member before you get the option to do polls?

Get in touch with forum support & ask how long you have to be a member before you can create a poll.

I have just had to wrestle this information out of Tom, so I hope you'll all appreciate it:

To activate polls, you need to have been registered for 90 days and have at least 100 posts.

Hello. How does a thread starter change the title of a thread after the first post has been posted? I have often seen it done on here and it has always intrigued me. And how long a time frame is there to be able to do this?

Also, how does one find out how many posts they have made in a thread? I knew this once upon a time but have since forgotten.

Thanks.

To change the thread title, click Edit on the opening post, then change the title in the 'Title' box above the main post. You have 15 minutes to do this.

To find out how many posts you have made, go to the main forum with list of threads (such as General Discussion). On the far right hand side, there is a column titled "Replies". Clicking on the number of replies associated with the thread you desire will bring up a list of people who have posted in that thread, and how many posts they have made.

I'm not being a smart arse here, I genuinely don't understand the question. If you want to exculde words in a search couldn't you just not type them?

Did an admin reduce code to 1 line? ASCII art doesn't seem to work anymore.

Are we allowed to change our names or de-register and come back as a new identity? I seem to remember someone saying this is no longer allowed but I'm not 100% sure.
