If I want to post one of my own photos from Flickr how do I do it without the link going to my whole Flickr page. Everyone on pets forum seems to be able to post just the photo. Photobucket I have the same problem.
I managed to post one pic from Photobucket on the food forum but admittedly I had only one pic there.

I got a question: why is this thread sliding down the page and not pinned at the top? Am I missing something?

Maybe you pick out dead or dying threads. Like this one for example.

The thread was asked for and at first it was pinned but then the mods set it adrift

There's a threadkillers thread in Chat - maybe you should join!

I've never used Flickr but if it's similar to twitpic then I think I know what you mean. I've posted links to twitpic but instead of just being a link to one specific photo, there is access to all my photo's, which I don't like. I think that's what you are getting at and if someone in the know could tell me how to link to only one specific photo I'd be very grateful x x

Which browser do you use?

Internet Explorer: Right click on the image > Click properties > Copy and paste the web address for the image, I believe it's labelled "Address: (URL)"

Firefox: Right click on the image > click on "Copy Image Location" then paste it into your new post on the forum.

Let me know if that doesn't work.

Testing this using an old post of a screen shot on Firefox

Edit: It works! Thank you Thomas

Thanks for reply. Can't seem to do it ... Internet Explorer, when I click on properties and highlight the url, it won't let me copy. Anyway I'll keep trying. I'm fairly sure I'm just being thick.

I use Photobucket on FF & right click>view image> & then copy address.

You could also use Hotmail (Live windows) & store the pics you want to post on the forum in a specific folder for posting.

I own a house in France and get fed up taking my Sky box with me. Is there a satellite system I can install that will allow me to watch football upon demand, preferably subscription free...Interested in English, French, Spainish, Italian and German particularly.
I haven't got a clue but if you take a wander in these forums http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=141 you can ask there and someone will probably be able to help you.

Learned lots already reading this thread - thanks.

How do I quote from one thread into another? If I press 'quote' in thread A I get the reply box in A. If I just copy and paste it into Thread B I don't get the 'quote' box and the links don't copy over as links.

I'm not sure if I understand correctly what you are asking but I'll give it a go anyway. If you press "Add Reply" on this thread, a post box will show up and you can say what you want. If you want to use a quote that has already been posted on this thread on another one, you must press "Add Reply" and then when the post appears in your comment box, copy and paste that comment onto the new forum, in a new "Add Reply" box. For example, here is something I posted in the music forum:
Titanic or the Lion King.
If you click on the blue arrow, it will bring you to the music forum. The only reason this works is because I "quoted" this post as if I was going to reply to it and copied and pasted all the information into this post.

If I didn't "quote" the post first and just did a copy and paste straight off the forum, this is what I would get:

Titanic or the Lion King.

I don't know if that helps or hinders or if I even got the question right but it's fun trying to solve puzzles

It absolutely does help! I'm not sure why this didn't work for me before as I thought this was what I had been doing - but clearly not.

Anyway, just had a little practise and it worked fine - cheers
