Tough to pick a fav song, as I was a huge fan in my teens.

Toss up between Cemetry Gates, The Boy With The Thorn In His Side, and The Headmaster Ritual

Yeah, such a consistent band, they've done far too many quality tunes.

Barbarism Begins At Home, purely for the rythm section. Awesome work.

Great band with too many good tunes to mention. My personal favourites include:

Still Ill
This Charming Man
Nowhere Fast
Frankly Mr Shankly
Stop Me If You Think That You've Heard This One Before
There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
Panic

... and I think they only ever produced one real dud ...

Golden Lights

Dunno about that, he's got a brilliant unique style.

Oh yeah, another quality Smiths tune, 'Unhappy Birthday'

My favourite is easy, it's There Is A Light That Never Goes Out. Trying to pick a top 5 or something is impossible though. I'd say my other favourites are Cemetry Gates, I Know It's Over, How Soon Is Now? and Hand In Glove.

Well of COURSE he can bloody sing I saw The Smiths in about 1984 and Morrissey in 2004 and he is not only a great singer but his diction is so clear you can hear every single word he sings perfectly. Probably one of the clearest singers I have ever heard. Say you dont like his voice, but dont say something stupid like that

Tough to choose between 'Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want' and 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out'.
