interference to TV
We have always suffered occasional interference to Digital TV . I recently bought a new LCD TV and things had seemed a bit better but, in the last week, I have found things break up when our dishwasher is on.
I have 2 questions; 1- Is this problem likely to improve when we have the DSO in April, because the power of the transmission will be boosted? 2- Does anyone know how or if you can suppress interference from something like a dishwasher? I already have ferrite clips on the aerial and RF leads to the TV itself. Many thanks |

If the aerial comes out of a wallplate, look behind it, if the connections are not covered by a metal cover replace it by a fully screened design. Change any patch leads to ones made from sat grade coax.

It is an indoor (loft) aerial.
I have a fully screened wall plate and the connecting cables are all good quality. |

I'm thinking of getting this. Would this be sufficient if the problem is mains borne? I cannot see anything about emi suppression, but is this all part of the surge protection? I note this one also has an input for the RF connection.
