Hi all
I am continuing my quest to update my current Nokia 6303.
I've looked at the Nokia N8/HTC Desire/Wildfire/HD/even the iphone? But you know what.... whilst I may well be in the minority here (and I bet I am!) I really don't like smartphones all that much - simply because I'd never be interested in the features and internet browsing etc... plus - and this is a big plus - everyone tells me on a smartphone is it perfectly normal to have to keep charging the phone (even on minimal use) every day or every other day??????
Whilst I have no budget restrictions at all, I just can't justisfy spending alot of money on something that I am not going to use much and the battery life will drive me up the wall...
So, I've decided to look closer to "home" - i.e. - something slightly better than my current 6303.
I've just seen online the Nokia C3-01. Although this does have a "element" of touchscreen about it, it does have the familiar "proper" keyboard - plus the fact it has a 3.5mm headphone jack and 5mp camera - which are essentials for me!
I was just going to ask anyone that has one these couple of questions:-
1) When you get a missed call/text - does this phone have a "notification light" type feature (like my current 6303) whereby a light pulses on and off to visually alert you. Does the C3-01 have a digital clock in standby mode (i.e - still see the clock and any missed calls/texts notification icons if you peer hard enough at the black display?)
2) With Wi-fi and bluetooth turned off, what's the battery life like on this phone? Any good?
3) is the camera an "auto-focus" camera? What's photo's like on it? I've read and seen many varied opinions on it's image quality..some good and some bad...
4) Finally, re: ringtones. Are these quite "loud"? That's the one main gripe on my current 6303 - the loudest ringtone on there (using a loud mp3 type one even) isn't that loud. Even put on the loudest setting it still takes 4-5 seconds when it rings to get to full volume - almost like it's on asscending ring - but - I was told this was a "feature" of this phone - so wondered if it was on the C3-01?
Thanks in advance for any help!
