Is he too busy with Biffa Cole?

I am surprised they don't have Biffa on the show, it would raise her profile in the States which is all she seems to care about.

YAY. Was getting sick of him in the last couple of series.

Any news on Mark?

As Derek (along with Julianne & Mark) gave up competitive dancing to take to the stage etc., it was probably only a matter of time before a film opportunity came along. Derek was good on stage, and although I (for one) will miss him in next dwts series, I wish him luck on the big screen.

Derek is fantastic & I will miss him too, although like kaycee not surprised he has other opportunities. Still at least it gives other pros a chance to shine - he does mostly seem to get very talented contestants.

I don't think Simon Cowell would let an X Factor judge anywhere near what is basically Strictly Come Dancing's sister show.

Then again, any publicity is good publicity...
