I didn't get the hype myself. She's obviously a good singer but maybe not to the extent she has been made out to be. I don't know about anyone else, but her breathing (especially in the first song) was rather offputting. I would agree though, seems as if she'll get to the live shows.
So far, the Bar Mitzvah/wedding singer from Thursday night, who sang Let's Get it On has been the best singer in my opinion.

Very over hyped, nice enough voice and an image ripe for a make over, but they're pushing her too hard, trying to find the next Carrie Underwood me thinks - personally I thought there were better auditions, rather liked the tone of voice of the bloke who did Rod Stewart
Yes she was good but I feel they are trying a little too hard to find the next Underwood. Cowell saying that Underwood was his favourite winner kinda' shows that another one of her would be reasonably successful.

I wasn't too enamoured with the girl on last, there have been some better singers than her so far.
I agree about a male country singer. It's a shame the judges didn't get more on board with Casey last season, although he wasn't too country-ish, but he was a change from the usual male contestants they've had before.
