They must be the thumbnail files the HDR creates overnight if left on the power, go further down the listing and you will find the movie folders!

I can confirm that - tac files are thumbnails in a subfolder of their own for each show (with a "." in front.. so they appear at the top of the list).
The ts file is the show, and will be further down the directory listing.

Thanks for all the help I have found the movie files right down at the bottom.

Another question if no one minds. Has anyone got this to work using XBMC on the xbox1? I try to find a Upnp device and nothing happens, the xbox just keeps seaching for the device.

with the humax upgraded to a media server, is it possible to stream the live tv rather than a recording?

its the 0.ts file - sort of works plays the buffer.

or if your wanting to watch something live, record it - and use xbmc - you can watch it while its recording.

The file is the complete live broadcast buffer - so the current programme point may be some way into it.

Thanks to mrmarky for this updated thread, build and scripts.

It worked a treat for me once I got a USB stick that was compatible with humax.

mrmarky - If you're able to, you might want to edit your original post with some additional tips for people:

- a note about trying different USB sticks if it doesn't work straight away.
- the file permissions on twonky have to be set using the command chmod +R +x * (took me a while to dig this one out of the forums).
- change 'default file type' for file transfers to be binary rather than 'auto detect' before you start FTPing anything (I had to reinstall twonky after doing this and it worked fine)

I know all this information is already covered in various threads but it's nice to have it in one place. Someone did suggest somewhere that we should have a wiki for all this - I'd be happy to help set up a site under a suitable domain if there's sufficient interest.

hopefully we will have some good news over the next week the guy behind the " Humax Jailbreak " is due to release a major update that will resolve everything.

Basically it will install the ftp with twonky & Samba, along with a setup of all the permissions correctly, Samba will make the humax PVR visible on a home network

Raydon from avforums is the legend responsible for this amazing work, the guys a legend, outstanding work and improved the humax pvr with amazing results.

My apologies. It appears to be a MIPS based processor, not an ARM.

Excellent stuff - just installed it and everything is fine. Just one point is that the readme file fails to mention the ftp username is "humaxftp" and password is "0000".

One query I have is that the Twonk Configuration screen indicates its a 30 day trial license? What happens when this runs out?

Excellent work raydon!

Sorry - but I do not have an account on avforums - if someone wants to repost the above query then feel free

twonky won't count down (however its £13 if you feel guilty) so after each day it will stay on 30 days.

Does now, and it's 'HumaxFTP' not 'humaxftp'

Don't think it matters. Just re-checked my FileZilla setting and it's definitely all lowercase.
