It would sort of be like Jim'll Fix It. If he could fix it for me, I'd love to skate with a professional. I have done in the past. TBH if you can only skate a little, being taken round a rink in a pairs-type hold with someone who has the confidence not to fall over is a treat in itself. My love of skating started with such an event as a sixth-former being taken round by a teacher. If I close my eyes and think about it, I can still feel the rush of air past my face as we sped around the corners of the rink

So much more satisfying than inching my way round the edge afraid to let go of the side barrier
