ok I just watched underworld since my last post. Episode 1 is quite good but the rest are just shit. Episode 1 sets the scene ok but the following three episodes just dont make sense to me. Who is supposed to the the villian? and its not just that. Acting is poor too and effects urgh....

I still haven't watched the Invisable Enemy,Image of Fendahl or the Sun Makers. I watched episode 1 of Image, its sorta meh. I thought it would waste my time and really there could be better Doctor Whos to watch. Its not exactly highly praised.

Worst would be about the same

1 Underworld - Episode 1 is decent but the rest dont make sence and are poorly acted. I enjoyed Episode 1 though.

2 The Armgeddon Factor - Padded, shit writing, and a crape villian too. The shadow is such an awful villian. Do you see the way he loses? The Doctor just picks up the Key to Time and thats it. Also a weak conclusion, the Key to Time is sent back into the original places which means that the quest was pointless in the first place.

3 The Pirate Planet - I find it hard to enjoy this one. The captain is a little bit OTT and the plot is so far fetched. But its much better than the two above I'll give it that.

4 Logopolis - Tom Baker looks incongruous because peter davidsons companions are making themselves at home. The plot is just a bit weird. The watcher stuff dosent really do it for me and the ending is weak too. How is the unerverse saved despite the Logopolons ( or whatever they are called) being all dead?

5 The Leisure Hive - Its basically they tried to make it look nice but it was a shite story to work on. The way they die is weird too, Marbles fall out of their hair.



Why does everyone hate the Invasion of Time its quite a cool story and Tom Baker seems like hes enjoying himself too. Or maybe its that is was my second Tom Baker story for me to see. I do like the robots of death but I havent watched it for a long time so I cant put it into my favourites section.

It seems like I'm doing a new order everytime But the thing is that I can't make up my mind. I mean I can say which ones I like and dislike but putting them in order is so hard for me. But maybe nobody gives a shit so I will probelly stop the changing mind thing.

Leela is not the best Tom Baker girl but is still my 7th best Doctor Who Companion of all time.

Yes it is very much a guilty pleasure. I don't think its that, bad the idea is actually quite solid even though theres some dodgey acting in it its still ok. Its not a classic though.

Get your hands on the Image of Fendehl - a true classic that knocks socks off most of the new stuff.

Can somebody say why they hate meglos so much. I don't understand the strong dislike for that story. Just like the horns of nimon its not a classic but its decent and fun to watch. I think Warriors Gate is probelly a classic though. I think the story is robelly hard to understand and some things are not explained but they made it well all in all.

I'm going to watch the Image of Fendahl. I watched Episode 1 and I thought it was quite good.

I watched Invisabe enemy today and it was quite bad

Meglos isn't the worst of episodes, but the plot is poorly thought out. The idea of having a cactus as the bad guy probably seemed really different, but it didn't really work and he was given no real motivation. Also, the plot never really stirred up much excitement and a couple of the actors weren't very good.

No doubt many of the same criticisms apply to Horns of Nimon, but it's done with such relish that it succeeds as cheesy fun. And Graham Crowden isn't "not very good" (which would be dull), he's so stratospherically OTT that he passes beyond ham and becomes magnificent.

I have completed the fourth doctor era. I had three more to watch I hated the invisable enemy, i thought The Image of Fendahl was fine and I loved The Sun Makers, its great fun

Seasons

1) Season 13 - All of the Stories at least average and at best great

2) Season 14 - Fantastic stories in this season apart from Masque of Mandragora ( it wasent necessarily bad but it was under average)

3) Season 12 - The most Iconic season, great stories. Oh and Robot

4) Season 15 - The only problems I had with this season were Underworld and the Invisible Enemy.

5) Season 16 - The Key to time was hit and miss really. Ribos Operation, Stones of Blood and Androids of Tara were great. Power of Kroll was alright. The Pirate Planet and the Armgeddon factor were awful.

6) Season 17 - Really the Only stoies I liked in this Season were Shada and City of Death

7 Season 18 - None of my favourite episodes were in this season, theres just average or bad and it dosent suit Tom Baker. I liked Warriors Gate though. It Probelly is a classic but maybe its not.
