I was reading on another thread that Emmerdale itself is a purpose built set, I decided to google it to see what it actually looks like a stumbled across this which I thought was interesting.

Google Maps'd

You can zoom in on it, or zoom right out. I just thought it was quite interesting to see it laid out like this.

Sadly it isn't labelled. Anyway just thought I'd share it.

No I did not

Just found "Emmerdale Farm", its a short way south west; labelled Eccup with a square box (labelled Bank House Farm).

Is that the Bartons? I assumed the farm like building to the far left was the farm until I saw that... it can't be Home Farm to the left surely? Or am I totally confused by the set?

That's why I'm getting confused.

It's actually quite confusing looking at it from above like that. lol

Found it and labelled it on the first map (though I did the boundary kinda randomly), its a short distance West.

So is Emmerdale Farm (Eccup, Bank House Farm) still used in the show, I assumed its the Bartons farm; just by some of the buildings that look familiar.

Whoever labelled the location was wrong. That has never been used any of the Emmerdale Farms. There was a Bank Side Farm which is probably where the confusion comes from, this was used as the second Emmerdale Farm.

The link below is the location for Barton's Farm.

Actually further up the road from the Bartons Farm location is Burden Head Farm which was used as the final Emmerdale Farm. According to the brilliant emmerdale.me.uk site it is used as the entrance way into the purpose built site at Harewood.

Is that the original farm?

I'm trying to figure out what the building (large farm) is to the far left ofthe set?

Also where is the do giggles and the church? The building next to the graveyard doesn't look like the church to me.

At least the incorrectly labelled farm isn't too far from the proper one?

Is it supposed to be that far from the village in the show or is it just there as that's where a farm is? Trying to figure out where things are meant to be...
