With most networks copying each other tariff wise these days. Are you happy with your price plan ? What is the best plan you have used ? Did you give up a plan and regret it ?
For myself I am still on T-Mobile Flext plans. In fact have just taken out a IP4 for Mrs OB on a Flext 45 plan. IMO you just cant go wrong with it. Calls, texts,MMS,international calls, and calls to most 08 numbers. I cannot see myself giving up this plan.

I think the T-Mobile unlimited texts for life on PAYG is excellent... I text so much, and the limited calling I do just comes from the £10 monthly top up! I also get free Internet for 12 months and also together rewards every 3 months, and although I don't use blockbuster much myself, I have easily given my friends my 5 things for £5 code

Best one ever, comparatively, was the Orange 15 something or other many years ago.

Essentially, it was £15 a month, and you got a ton of texts and calls included in it. As far as I remember, the tariff created a huge loss for them, and they tried their damndest to get me off it for about three years, but I wouldn't budge. Eventually I moved to O2 because they had a good deal on a snazzy phone .. the one and only Nokia 6210!

I've still take that 6210 if I ever go camping or to a festival

PAYG Simplicity, £15 a month, 100 anytime minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited broadband.

Thats enough minutes for me as I'm a light user.

I don't really have a favourite. I was very fond of my first tariff.

Vodafone Pay As You Talk (1998-2000)

Top Up - £10
Line Rental - £2.50
Peak Calls - 35p
Off-Peak Calls - 5p
Other Networks - 50p
Off-Peak Hours - 6pm-8am (very generous)

I left because the Virgin tariff was better.

Virgin Mobile (2000-2003)

Top Up - £10
Line Rental - None
Call Charges 15p for 5 minutes, 5p rest of the day
Voicemail - Free

I left after an argument with Virgin customer service. I was overcharged on holiday and they wouldn't do anything about it.

Orange Choose Your Own Off-Peak (2000-2006)

Top Up - £10
Peak - 35p
Off-Peak - 10p
Texts - 10p
Internet - 10p a minute

OR

Top Up - £50
Peak - 25p
Off-Peak - 5p
Texts - 5p
Internet - 10p a minute

+ lunch time off-peak (11am-3pm) something like that

I believe this tariff was discontinued and the £50 discounted call charges became a 10% off instead.

Orange Speak Easy (2006-2008)

Top Up - £10
Call Charges 15p + 15p per hour to 3 Orange users
Texts - 100 free
Internet - 10p per minute / £2 a day?

I switched when texts were upped to 300.

Orange Dolphin (2008-2009)

Top Up - £10
Call Charges 20p + 20p per hour to 5 Orange users
Texts - 100 free (upped to 300 I think from 2009)
Internet - £2 a day (100MB free from 2010)

The internet was far, far too expensive and still is. I kept it as my backup sim up until just last week, when Orange decided to randomly drain all my credit for Internet use I didn't make. So I destroyed the sim card and will never use Orange again.

o2 Simplicity 30 day contract (2009-2010)

Pay - £20
Minutes - 600
Voicemail - Free
Customer Service - Free
Texts - 1200 + inclusive x4 abroad
Picture Messages - count as 4 free texts
Internet - Unlimited

Fantastic, until o2 dropped the Internet deal to 500MB

giffgaff (2010-)

Pay - £10 every 3 months
Minutes - Unlimited to all my friends on giffgaff or 8p
Voicemail - 8p a minute
Texts - Unlimited to all my friends on giffgaff or 4p
Picture Messages - 16p
Internet - Unlimited

My first tariff in 1999 has some fond memories for me mainly as it was purchased as a cost saving exercise as I was at university in halls of residence and we had to purchase phone cards to dial out from the phones in our rooms. After spending a whopping £80 on them in one week, something had to be done as it was draining my beer money

Was on one2one and called one 2 evening national or something like that. Can't remember the out of tariff rates but £25 a month gave me unlimited (and they really meant it unlike these days) free evening calls to landlines. Was a lifesaver!

When at uni in 2000 i had a contract with Genie (now o2 online) and it was something ridiculous like £10 per month for 600 mins and unlimited texts.

The catch I think was that the minutes were only to landlines or other genie/cellnet customers. It didnt really matter as most of my friends were on the same contract. But I do remember in my contacts having a full stop after each name that was genie/cellnet so that i would know if the call would be free or not.

It just shows how much they could REALLY drop the prices for us normal customers...

Surely it shouldnt have dropped your you as you were already with them? IT only dropped for those taking out a new contract or changing tariff.

Im on a SIM only deal with them and have been for about 18 months and still have unlimited data.

Also my best tarrif is my current one:

o2 iphone simplicity with 40% discount.
600 minutes
1200 texts
Unlimited data.
£12/month.

Not really.

Looks OK at 8p/min cross-net, but if you make lots of calls to them, the staff tariff is pants.

300 mins = £24
600 mins = £48
1200 mins = £96

So, for example, if you have an iPhone tariff with 1200 mins, unlimited texts and you used all the 1200 mins and sent 2000 x-net texts, the cost would be:

Orange iPhone 45 = £45
Orange Staff = £176

So unless pretty much everyone you call/text is on Orange, then you are screwed. Which is why I don't use mine.

Thats certainly true, however mine is just used for the data if I'm honest. I have no need or interest in using it for calls unless I am calling customers even then thats few and far between.

My current deal with Three took about a month to get and at least 15 phone calls but I'm now on The One Plan for £20 a month with a free HTC Desire

5000 minutes cross network
5000 3-3 minutes
5000 texts
All you can eat data

It was a real headache getting this plan after they had given it to my partner with no hassle at all, but it was worth it in the end.
