5000 texts
All you can eat data

It was a real headache getting this plan after they had given it to my partner with no hassle at all, but it was worth it in the end.”

Not sure how to edit that last post but just realised I had got the package wrong...

it's 2000 cross network minutes...not 5000.

For myself I am still on T-Mobile Flext plans. In fact have just taken out a IP4 for Mrs OB on a Flext 45 plan. IMO you just cant go wrong with it. Calls, texts,MMS,international calls, and calls to most 08 numbers. I cannot see myself giving up this plan.”

I too have this Flext plan with iphone (as does Mrs Seed) but we also have the unlimited offpeak calls carried on from the earlier flext plan add-on, so we get all of the above plus from 7pm to midnight in the week, and all weekend we get free calls to any UK number (FUP 10,000 mins)
We also got to keep our 3GB FUP on the internet too.

T-Mobile did this free texting for a £10 top-up deal in 2006/7 and claimed it was 'for life'. My daughter was on it (mega texter) and then without warning they decided to withdraw it, so bear it in mind.

How did they withdraw it? The offer still stands now, or it may have just recently changed to 100 free minutes a month for new customers.

They sent her a text to say it was finishing.
It's only recently that they've re-introduced it. I was just saying that just because they offer free texting for topping up, it doesn't mean they always will.
Saying that, all of the networks pretty much offer free texts for topping up now don't they?

Ahh right, ok then.

Yea they all do really, but the 300 texts etc that you usually get would not be enough for me.

I think T-Mobile should allow a choice between 100 free minutes or unlimited texts. Personally myself, when i got my iPhone, if the offer was 100 free minutes and not the free texts, i would not have got my iPhone with them.

But then again, if you have the 100 free minutes a month, and switch to the Text Appeal tariff(still around right?) then texts are only 3p are they not? Thats not too bad with the free minutes.

whilst not free managed to get Web Max (10GB) added on to the account before T-Mobile withdrew the package. She is happy enough with that.

Well, as I only really use my phone for texting, I love the plan I am on with 02.

It's PAYG, Simplicity - £5 per month for unlimited texts.

They say "unlimited" - but it's actually capped at 12,000 texts per month. Despite my best efforts, I haven't managed to go over this limit yet......

Currently with O2 on a 24 month contract:

£10pm
200 minutes/400 texts
Free unlimited O2 to landline calls
Free unlimited O2 to O2 calls
£150 initial credit to cover the first 15 months

Total payments over 24 months £90 (£3.75 per month over the 24 months)

If I can't get a similar repeat deal from O2 (and I think I might struggle), I'll be moving elsewhere. If anyone has any ideas..............

I'd have to say that I'm extremely happy with my new operator giffgaff, their unlimited mobile internet suits me for £10 a month with unlimited text and 250 mins, even though I only use about 60-100 mins a month call time.
