htc desire hd sound settings

hi iam hoping some body can help
every since friday ive not heard either my lock tone or the keypad tone you can hear it if you hold the phone close to your ear
all other notification sounds are working fine

the ones iam on about are under settings, sound, feedback (right at the bottom)
and it is the audible touch tones & screen lock sounds that are very quite

can any body help
