vodafone - what a load of tosh
i'm on vodafone simply, and i use freedom packs which only last for 30 days. unless i go on the internet i dont get warning when its about to expire. only when i ring or tx on the day of expiry do i then get a message telling my pack has expired. i cant queue them up either.
so essentially i may aswell be on contract. rant over. |

Is it too hard to put an x on a calendar, to mark the date of expiry. Or set yourself a reminder in your phone?

Not me, I have had a contract phone in the past and am now PAYG since I retired as I use the phone much less and never had a problem with them. I must have been them for at least 12 years. The coverage excellent and far better than Orange for instance particularly away from built up areas.
i have found the opposite with vodafone. my signal is really bad. my phone will randomly cut off during a call (which may be my samsung tocco lite) and i wont receive a tx till 2 days later. phones are so expensive these days and quite large. |

I phoned them and told them they'd made a mistake and they apologised, refunded me the money and said they would take the TV bundle off my package. The following month it was on my bill again, £5 deducted. So I phoned them again and repeated the story and they apologised again, refunded my £5 and said it wouldn't happen again. Guess what? I've now phoned them four times because the £5 charge is STILL appearing on my bill every month. I eagerly await my February bill to see if it's still on there... |

Use the phone's calendar to set a reminder for the day before.
Problem solved surely? Not exactly sure what you want VF to do? |

Just go on Vodafone contract SIM only , they have many deals circa £10 PCM or £15 PCM with loads of calls & bundled texts . Its far cheaper than PAYG & far better !

In September Vodafone charged me £5 for a mobile TV bundle I never ordered.

Log into live check the my subscriptions link (Myweb.360.com) i believe then My Bill. There is then an option for manage subscriptions located on that page, if its in there then remove it. I would always double check after calling CS, a force of habit from calling any operator tbh. |

It's great to see how happy you've been with the service we've provided you with over the years and I hope this continues to be the case for many more years to come. Naturally, should you need any help with anything in the future you're welcome to give me a shout. Quote:

Whilst it's disappointing to read about the difficulties you're experiencing here I'm sure we can get this resolved once and for all for you. So we can take a closer look at your account to see what's causing this could you email your details across to us via the Contact us form on our website here quoting WRT135 - FAO Lee in the subject line? When sending it could you also state your Digital Spy username and a link to your thread so we correspond your email to it? Quote:
i would like to queue the freedom packs like they do the web packs. but im going to be changing soon again. i like o2 but the payg they dont hav both txts and calls for as cheaply as vodafone.
i think it will probably be orange next just havent seen a phone i like for some time. i like the idea of an iphone but they are too big and expensive. i cant justify spending that much money on a phone considering i hardly use mine. Although it's not possible to queue the Freedom Packs I will feed this back for future consideration. In the meantime, Ian makes a good suggestion regarding our SIM Only plans as an alternative option for you to consider and of course it's worth bearing in mind that should you change your mind then you'll have the freedom to move back to PAYG with thirty days notice. Although you've not seen a phone you like for a while it's always worth keeping an eye on our Coming Soon page here to see what's due to be released in the future. In regard to the coverage concerns you've alluded to earlier in the thread I would recommend providing feedback on the affected area(s) via our coverage map here so that this can be taken in to account when future enhancements are being planned. Kind regards to you all. Lee Web Relations Team Vodafone UK |
