I have no idea why Ashley got into the final 50, she's an emotional wreck. The panel aren't doing her any favours by keeping on putting her through, I bet if Simon had still been on the panel she'd have gone ages ago.

I just listed my standouts in the other thread but since there's a thread specifically for standouts, I'll list them again 
I thought Haley Reinart was terrific kicking tonights show off and Casey Abrams and Jacob Lusk really knocked it out of the park (to coin an American phrase
)
I also really like Pia, Ashthon, Kendra and Scotty.
So many good ones this year

Yes, I have to say her Hollywood week stuff has been pretty average. I'm not sure what they see in her

I see a spark in Ashley, slight potential, but I don't think she has the capability to make it into the Top 24.
There are a few stand out contestants for me so far
Brett
Casey
Lauren (she must have made an impact - she's the only girl I remember other than "melt down" girl and I don't even remember her name)
Scott (although I don't normally go for country)
Can't make my mind up about James. Loved him at first but haven't seen enough of him to really make my mind up. Sometimes his style of shouting (oops singing) reminds me of Adam Lambert and I wasn't a fan of his, although there is no disputing both can hold a note!

I'm sure we hadn't seen him until tonight. I thought he was excellent, really liked his whole vibe. Thrilled he's through

We had a brief glimpse of this audition in a montage of a few who got through, did Maggie Mae, but virtually nothing since, I only realised he was still in when I spotted him in the background during Hollywood week
I love Scotty's voice and I love Caseys voice and style!
Dont really have a girl fav. Loved Emily Ann Reid but shes gone now. I can remember the faces of the girls, but not their names.

Well! My stand-out was Jerome Bell. I saw him in the background of the top 50 but him being cut by the judges didn't even make it on to the tv!
I'm impressed that you can remember ALL their names at this stage!
On the shows where they chose the final 24, we only saw snippets of their solo performances after they all teamed up to do Beatles songs.
There was a girl [she has gone through to the live shows] but I don't know her name, but when she did that long walk to sit across from the Judges, she wore a long black evening dress. She has long dark hair. She might be called Karen?? Can't remember.
I didn't really notice her before but in the snippet they showed of her final solo performance, she sounded so soulful and beautiful. She made me go cold.
And also, I never noticed Paul or Kendra until they performed The Beatles' "Blackbird."
Forget American Idol, those two should team up right now.
I thought they sounded lovely together.
But, I kind of have a sneaky love for Casey the Double Bass dude.
He's a bit different. He's eccentric. He's got a great voice.
But I need to hear the 24 all sing live before I can really decide who my favourite is.
I do love the new judges though.
And I prefer the show without Simon Cowell.
I have enjoyed the music a LOT more.
I don't like Clint.

Brett is 16? I thought he was at least 10 years older than that! I had a loook at the ages and Jacob Lusk is only 23?
James Durbin makes me think Tyler Durden, for no reason other than it sounds slightly similar. Whenever I see him I just think Tyler Durden
I like Scotty and Casey. I want to like Tim, Pia, Julie and Paul.
Scotty and Casey for me. I love Scotty's voice but I don't like country, He is making me hope that there are some very restrictive themes that will mean he is kept out of that genre. It is clear though that he will be a country boy if he makes it big
