Sony blu ray player not connecting to router
I am struggling to carry out a wired connection of my Sony BDP370 blu-ray player to my wireless router.
I have connected the player using a standard ethernet cable to a spare port on my router and run through the set up wizard on the player. The player is reporting that the physical connection was recognised but there is no internet connection. Here's why I'm confused: - I do have an internet connection (I'm using it now). - The cable I used successfully connects my Sony tv (KDL EX503) to the same router (I'm watching iPlayer through it as I type) It's not the biggest problem in the world but I would like to be able to eventually get the BD live content through my player without having to spend £70 on a Sony wireless dongle - my router is only 12 inches from the player! Any help much appreciated. |

Im sure I've read somewhere that you need input the IP settings manually rather than the auto setting.

I've got a Sony BDP-S350 blu-ray player and I found a fixed IP address works best.

Sorted
Hi
Problem solved. A fixed IP address did sort it out. Thanks |
