Just purchased a Blackberry 9780 (after months of deliberating!)
Anyhow, here's what I am stuck on and wonder if anyone can help?
Basically, I am on 02 PAYG.
I thought I would just occassionally connect to the Inernet/Facebook for example via my wireless router (Orange livebox). I managed (I think!) to connect to this fine, had to enter my WEP key etc and it found everything ok - it now says (on the home page) 02-UK ....then the Livebox name....
Now, if I go to click on the Facebook app for example, I get a message saying:-
"You are currently on a data plan that does not support this service and if you want to use this service contact your mobile provider"
I contacted 02 via their online live support and couldn't really understand what they were saying.... I was asking them if I had to pay for a bolt on (which they mentioned in the conversation) in order to use the web via my home wi-fi router - they kept saying I need to contact my ISP about this..... .
But surely, if it says it's found the router and connected but won't let me use the internet because of "data plan" message above, my ISP (Orange) won't be able to help will they?
Do you, on PAYG have to pay 02 for wi-fi? I thought this was "free" say from your home network...
