It was a Tuesday night and if it was early enough, the club might not have had security, letting the barstaff ID people.

If the barman knew she was Jack's niece and he was happy to let her stay, he may not have bothered IDing her.

Whitney is 18, Lauren is 16 she will turn 17 in a couple months.

I assumed she got in because maybe the door man or someone knew she was Jack's family but seems odd since he's not even the owner anymore. It's more than likely just tv convenience.

So Fatboy and Mercy are 18 then?

Pretty sure Fatboy and Mercy are the same age as Lucy and Peter, they all went to collect their exam results together.

Lauren turned 16 when Jack got shot. but that was Old Lauren, New Lauren might be older? She must be atleast 17 to be learning to drive, right?

Maybe they just let her in because she looked old enough?

I don't think its beyond the realms of possibility she'd get into a nightclub underage.

Did anybody notice on last night's EastEnders, that on the end credits they missed a letter out of Whitney's real name?

It said:
Whitney Dean
SHONA McGART

They missed out the Y. Go and check it out on Iplayer She's second on the credit list.

Exactly. Plus it was a week night, much easier to get in underage than a weekend..

Like super buzz said it's pretty easy for underage, half decent looking girls to get into nightclubs.

Lol I don't understand how all these kids get in to clubs, I'm 21 & still get ID'd and I know people in their 30's that still do! Plus Lauren isn't really one of those kids that looks older than her years, she more or less looks her age imo

She's Jack's niece and he was in the club at the time.

He might not be the owner now but the doorman might have thought he would keep an eye on her?

Wait. So all the rapists/murderers/gangs/sexual affairs etc being in one postcode (and usually these things go down in the pub) is realistic?

Eastenders is not realisitc. It never has been, so why complain about something so minor?

My mate's 32 who I was with one night last year and he got refused service in a bar as he didn't have any ID on him. Why would you have any ID on you when you were 18 in 1996??! The lass serving behind the bar was probably not much over 18 years, which probably didn't help matters! Anybody would think this was the USA where you have to be over 21 to consume alcohol in a pub/club/restaurant.

It's not unrealistic for a 16 year old to get into a nightclub, especially since Jack used to own it and she probably knows some of the staff/bouncers.

The bouncers just use that as an excuse if they dont want to let someone in, no matter what their age.

Because it a fictional club that is very very tiny and very very crap, it like EE have cut couple of foot of the set.

I mean no club in real life that I know of would of let Fat boy in with his get up that he was wearing.

EE is fictional - lots of clubs have teen nights - only those people purchasing alcohol need to get id'd at the bar - just sitting in a club is often allowed especially if over 16 as outlined below in 2003 licensing act.

It is an offence for certain persons to allow children under 16 on relevant premises (which means premises to which a premises licence or a club premises certificate has been granted; or a permitted temporary event notice has been given) that are used exclusively or primarily for the supply of alcohol, or premises open for such supply under the authorisation of a temporary event notice, if they are not accompanied by an adult and those premises are open for the supply of alcohol for consumption there

Not all clubs have dress codes either - Phil and Roxy (or Glenda) own the licence and they need all the customers they can get.
