Is Denzil now the only Kelly left? I have to say he is the best of a good bunch there and he's a great actor, I can see Kyle leading him astray from their brief interaction and I liked Denzils relaxed attitude to the complicted lives of his siblings

The Fishers were OK; would've been nicer to see Harry more as he did brilliantally with the eating disorder storyline last time around

Seemingly vanished characters thus far:

Charlie Fisher
Marcus Kirby
Ruth Kirby

Bex has missed two years of school, so she presumably wouldn't be able to cope in the yeargroup she should be in.

I loved tonight's episode, it was a great start. I like the way Karen is scared of pushing Bex away again - the tension is really strong between them, and it's obvious that Bex's past isn't going to be that easy to get away from.

Kyle looks like being a great character and was very well played by George.

Looking forward to next week.

I'm confused about the two Kirbys because they were set to leave in the final ep of the last half but I was sure Ruth decided to stay? Harry Fisher has also vanished. I love him as a character, I hope they pay a lot of attention to him this time.

Denzil is the only one left, I think he's great. I miss him and Em And I think it will suffer without Sambuca.

Nope.Jess is 16 and has been named as such, I don't think anyone's ever said how old Bex is but she must be 17/18, she can't be any younger as she's defo the oldest child but can't be any older or she wouldn't still be in school :/

Bex must be at least 18 - she's been missing for 2 years, so if she was any younger than 18 she would have missed her GCSE's and wouldn't be put straight into an A Level class.

It's confusing because she looks so young to me!

It is confusing, if Jess is 16/17 then Bex must be at least 18/19, must have been put back a year or two but even then...they did the same with Janeece a few years back because they wanted her in Chlo's class, so confusing.

What confused me even more in the last series was when they stuck Ruth in 6th form classes with her brother, when she looked about 12?!

The little brat was protesting about going to Waterloo Road because she'd been homeschooled by daddy all her life and she was a little brainiac, streets ahead of her peers (who should have been Finn, Josh and Harry.) So she was put a couple of years ahead in English and Maths.

Ah, thanks. So she's only a couple of years younger than her brother then? I really thought she was in year 7! Harry's another one who looks about 2 to me, so was surprised by his class placement!

Supposedly yeah. Jess and Ronan took the mick out of her for being young. Tom's said before that Josh is 14, and he's the same year as Harry and Ruth. And then Jess is 16, so Jonah and Ruth, and Jess and Harry, are the same age gap. Ceallach Spellman (Harry) is actually 15 but I don't think he looks it at all. But then again, Linzy Cocker (Jess) is 23 and looks nowhere near that.

And recently been made a mummy! I'm liking Bex and Jess together so I hope they don't fall out too much. It'd be interesting to see what happened to Bex. Did anyone else recognise the voice of Hodge? Sounded like Warren from Hollyoaks but couldn't be sure.

Thanks for indulging my confusion so patiently and explaining it all to me!

I like this new Jess. I really am not warming to Bex at all though

No problemo there was an episode in the first half of episode 6 where Janeece said to Tom she was a year older than Chlo but I remembered them always being in the same year, turns out she was held back a year in Series 1. I suppose continuity is one thing Waterloo Road can't be faulted for.

First time I've watched a full episode, I thought it was really good and funny.

Strongly dissaproved of what he said and wanted, but the bit where Kyle said he didn't need to go to school for the job he wanted to do, and when they said to him whats that and he smiled and said drug dealing made me laugh out loud proper!

I like Rotweillers too, though his one was too big, but still kinda cute.

Took me some time to realise that was Tina O Brien playing a school girl. First thought that was wrong but then I remembered a 26 year year old Jason Priestly playing someone of High School age back in the day.

The schoolkids are generally either schoolkids themselves or adults, there seems to be no in between. Don't know if you watched earlier serieses but Tom Payne, who played schoolkid Brett Aspinal was 25 Jess Fisher is 23 in real life, and Zaraah Abrahams who played Michaela is now about 24 so must have been around 21/22 while playing a schookid.

Despite what I wrote earlier, I missed a little bit at the end. Was the dog being taken away to be put down? If it was, that was unfair as it was the boy that let him lose, not the dog going generally beserk etc.
