yes, it does seem to have a pretty small stage compared to the bigger venues. i think you will have an unforgettable night for all the right reasons! i really like greatest hits tours!

whatever the stage, Janet will give it 110%

I mean it will be fantastic, i love that she still has that level of energy dance-wise that she did in the late 80s! I mean it is astounding!

apparently this tour is more about live vocals rather than the dancing.

it still will be a good show. i will have to settle for the dvd!

Absolutely, seen some footage on youtube, it's small but full of energy and passion

The Velvet Rope is fantastic!

Janet., The Velvet Rope and Rhythm Nation are my favorites.

Also worth checking Control and also Damita Jo.

Those 5 albums are the best out of them all i think! glad you are enjoying it! Free Xone is EPIC!....freeeeestyyyyle...

Control album was one of my favourite albums growing up, every song was fantastic.

Yes i love that too! I think almost every song on the album is eprfect for me!

But yes if you love TVR, you will love Janet. THAT is one of my all time albums! In the era of MJs Dangerous, Madonnas Erotica and Janets Janet. album! where Pop Pushed Boundaries and TVR was kinda the movement on from the Janet. album too so yeah i would recommend perhaps go backwards and do Janet. next then back to Rhythm Nation and then Control (which i call her official debut album personally) and then move forward with her material post-Velvet Rope

I love the Velvet Rope album. The Velvet Rope tour was fantastic. I loved every minute of it. Janet's used to be so incredible. I remember back when she was HUGE.

I'm glad you picked the right one to start with. It's a good album.

As Josh said, you should move backwards, and then go forward.

AVOID 20YO!

janet. Is my favourite album. Such epic tracks like This Time, If (a personal favourite) and Throb are worth the asking price alone!

All For You is another favourite. Trust a Try was just screaming out for a single release. Plus Better Days is just the perfect ending. Some very filthy tracks in the middle though!!

The only Janet album I simply cannot listen too is 20YO. That atrocity should have been left on the cutting room floor. Thankfullly she came back with the mighty Dicipline which should have been a lot more successful then it was. That album was packed full of potential hits

Saw her at Albert Hall and she was a-ma-zing. She hardly stopped dancing for a second. The show could have been a bit longer though. But the setlist (although cut down from a few previous legs ), vocals and dancing was pretty much spot on.

She is done really good on her tours, she has so much energy and her voice and dancing really gives you this dancey feeling. :P

Besides Damita Jo i didnt like any of her output the past decade in comparison! Of course i judge it on my tastes and in comparison to the year of release and her own back catalogue!
For me it is -

MASTERPEICE - Janet., Rhythm Nation
Astounding - The Velvet Rope
Fantastic - Control
Solid - Damita Jo
Okay - All For You, Discipline
Avoid - 20 YO (i do like Enjoy!)

you need to ask the mods to move it, josh. i haven't heard discipline. i loved feedback, so there`s no excuse really.

rhythm nation is such a good album and i really loved it when it came out. i remember hoping that just one of those brilliant songs would make the top 10.

Discipline is brilliant. Much better than the dire 20YO and the rather bland Damita Jo.

I will need to ask those mods then

and also i must say i love Damita Jo....while its not up there with the best of hers (Control, Rhythm Nation and Janet share that IMO) out of her last few albums its my favorite...All For You i cannot listen to in full however....same for 20 Y.O which is actually such a bad album i am shocked

I may check it soon! She is such a titan!!
