I just spoke to TUTV CS, as I have a new (second hand) DTI6300-16 and wanted some advise. This box is on 5.08 and won't upgrade to 6.01. I was told that V6.01 is no longer being transmitted and that, due to the issues encountered, boxes would be reverted to V5.08 until the problem was sorted out.

My box has now been updated to v6.54.
However, I cannot see any difference from v6.01.
I never had any problems with v6.01, I hope I don't start having them now with the new software version !

Had this box for a few years now, and in all that time it has never been reliable, until v6.01.
6.01 has given me fast remote response, reliable recordings etc, and a pleasure (at last!) to use.

Then came the update to v6.54.
Painfully slow remote response, unable to view previous recordings, even unable to view the 'message' about the new software that had just been downloaded, basically back to an unusable PVR.
A software-revert to v6.01 has put the machine back to being a fully workable, fast and reliable PVR again.

I've been watching these forums through all the various 'updates' over the last couple of years, and it's pretty obvious that each version will be ideal for some boxes, but not others. Why this should be I've no idea, but for me, I have found a version that finally works as it should, and just wish I could find a way of turning any future 'automatic updates' off!.

Since my box updated to 6.54 I`ve had nothing but trouble:

Slow to respond -- or no response -- to remote.

Failure to record.

Loss of program info.

Box tells me it hasn`t recorded TopUpTV when I don`t even have TopUpTV.

Please -- how do I revert to 6.01...?!!

Help!
