Just listened to this and it really reminds me of another song but I can't quite put my finger of what it is, does it remind anyone else of a different song?

The "forget about the Price Tag" bit is very similar to the chorus of "****in' Perfect" by Pink, and also maybe Time For Miracles by Adam Lambert? I drew comparisons straight away.

It has the same harmonic structure as Better In Time by Leona Lewis I think. I believe that the track was co-written by one of the people who wrote Better In Time.

Might just be me, but it was on radio 1 today and couldn’t help but think of Natasha Bedingfield

It's crap. Sounds like the usual garbage that comes from artists like her.

Was expecting better with all the hype.

I like it. Quite catchy I think.

I'm keen to see how it does in the charts though as it's the first proper release under the labels new policy of releasing singles as soon as they're made available for radio.

*edit*

Well there's my answer - number one in the midweeks so clearly the policy has started off successfully.

totally agree, she probably think she's being original (especially dressing stupidly) but she's just like the rest of them... maybe worse

She's trying to be the white Nicki Minaj but she just ends up looking stupid.

But... she's not just a rapper. In fact, I wouldn't say she's a rapper. She's got an amazing voice, and she's actually has a great personality. I'm not dissing Minaj here either, I just think it's an unfair comparison; totally different genres. And I think Jessie pulls what she does off really well although I am a bit of a fanboy sometimes

I love this song, so different to Do it like a dude. Sounds like something Lilly Allen would release IMO.

I don't like either, and I'm aware but Jessie J has a great voice and I think she's wasting it by using it on the "future" of music (AKA autotuned grunge carp, or whatever its called) when she could be making great songs.

I do think the way the industry is at the moment she needs to establish herself with this 'grunge carp' (best description ever!), although I do like the songs she's done so far.
She's one of the best vocalists around for a long while imo, so I think if she manages to get a secure fanbase (which won't be so difficult, I don't think), she should move onto more serious music. For now, I think she's doing the right thing. For now.

I'm going off her by the day to be honest.

The music she's releasing is so...hollow. Void of personality and originality. Her voice is fantastic, but instead she's doing generic ghetto-white-girl to appear edgy.

When she's doing her ballads - thats where she shines.

I don't buy the 'look' either, it's actually doing a disservice to her as an artist. She looks like she just raided Rihanna, Ke$ha and Lily Allen's wardrobe and threw it together.

I wish people would stop trying to jump on the 'eccentric fashion' bandwagon when they clearly have no interest in doing it properly.

The version she did on Jools was fabulous; it had soul and a real character.

Why do artists insist on adding a rapper to their songs these days. I don't like the single version at all.

The negative point of being my age, is that I'm meant to enjoy this grunge carp, but I can't stand it, it's not music it's just noise.

How old actually are you?
I don't think it's noise, it's possibly one of the most deserving #1's for a while for me. I would've liked Adele to get to #1 though, that did wind me up a bit; Bruno Mars' song isn't even that great. Saying that, I was listening from the US album release...

I like "Price Tag", but it reminds me of Lenny Kravitz's "It Aint Over Til It's Over".
