Oh come on, they choose to go on the show knowing full well what the consequences were and what has happened to former housemates. They are wannabe celebrities gagging for their 5 minutes of fame i.e they WANT to be talked about, once you are in the public eye you are up for scrutiny. Look at Kate Lawler, this forum has been on her back for 2 years now!!!

Exactly! Shes already attempted to get her flabby mug on television with her failed Pop Idol audition. She knows full well what the territory of the media spotlight is like and the consequences of being in it. From that viewpoint she is fair game the same as everyone else who signs the BB contract for public criticism. After all its not as if she and stupid Stuart arent going to be well rewarded financially for it anyway as Yellowlabbie says and thats why shes there. Why should anyone get an easy ride from it when theres thousands of hard working people out there struggling away for much less money and getting hassle off their bosses every day.

Since when do I need your permission?? Unless you personally are going to into every thread about any other housemate and ask that the criticism stop then you yourself are a hypocrite - the fact is that you like Michelle and can't bear the criticism about her. You like her because she is crass and vulgar, but I'm not allowed to be - yeah, that makes sense!!

Whilst I wouldn't use some of he language thrown at these people, Michelle and Stu have pretty much given permission for people to say what they like about them by appearing on the show. It is a popularity contest, and people are judged my their word and deed. In the case of Stu and Michelle, some have been less than impressed. I'm not keen on the language used by some (and will even defend Michelle & Stu from them) but BB must be one of the only situations where giving your opinion, no matter how harsh, on a complete stranger is perfectly acceptable - since by definition they are openly inviting it.
