Shot of Jackson looking miserable
Knock at the door
Hazel answering it to see Aaron there
Makes some excuse and leaves the room
Aaron tries to be nice to Jackson who is being snappy (usually abuot watching a dvd)

I know its supposed to reflect real life but they are being completely overused and destroyed. Theyve gone from being a couple I loved and wanted to get together, to a couple I dont even want to watch.

Sort it out Emmerdale.

Agree. Train should've killed him.

I love Emmerdale but unfortunately they do this recycling of scenes thing a hell of a lot. I think possibly they should be on five episodes a week rather than six because you can tell there's always that bit too much filler.

You're right about the Aaron and Jackson scenes (they've as good as killed the character of Jackson now anyway). Last year they did the exact same Natasha/Declan/Nathan scene about five times an episode too.

*Natasha and Nathan speaking in code about the plan to frame Faye*
*Declan walks into the office*
*Declan: 'What's going on?'*
*Nathan spouts some shit about family business and Declan needing to keep his nose out*
*Natasha orders a sulky Nathan out the room*
*Declan tries to get some sense out of Natasha but she just sighs*
*Declan walks out in a huff*

Literally that exact same scene. I must've seen it twenty times over the course of about a month.

Agreed. But what's even more tedious, and doesn't even make sense is the repeitive scenes of:
Aaron enters the house.
Jackson: Aaron I don't want you here, go away.
Aaron: But Jackson, I wanna be with you, I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.
Jackson: Too bad, go away Aaron.
Aaron makes a sad, dejected face and leaves ...

10 minutes later:
Aaron enters the house.
Jackson: Aaron I don't want you here, go away.
Aaron: But Jackson, I wanna be with you, I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.
Jackson: Too bad, go away Aaron.
Aaron makes a sad, dejected face and leaves ...

Agree. Train should've killed him.
Disagree, hate the couple now, but still like each both characters individually.

I do enjoy Emmers being on every day of the week, but I agree with this. I remember how tedious the Wylde story became at one point - that being said it was still an amazing story. Another example was Holly's drug story. For about a month or so, all we had was:

Holly: It hurts.
John: Can I do anything?
Moira: No, leave it to me ... *John leaves* ... Holly you know I can't, don't ask.
Holly: I need it, it hurts.
Moira: No Holly!
Holly: But mam, it hurts, make it stop.
*Moira starts crying and stroking Holly's face really fast before tearfully giving her drugs*.

yeah its just lazy writing, the bartons and the wyldes were worse, jackos a class character hes funny and has depths unlike half the others in the soap, they just need to let the word flow better so they get past the chuckle brothers like "to me, to you" dialogue that they seem to have.

It's become a pointless storyline now. I used to like the two together but now it's the same thing over and over again. God knows why his contract has been extended if it's going to carry on like this.

It was extended a while ago, he was originally only in it until February.

I bet Jackson ends up killing himself or asking his mum and Aaron to help him.

He said there'll be no miracle recovery either. I don't remember him saying anything about a euthanasia storyline though? I would've thought that was the most likely. How else will he leave? Hazel would have to go with him and we know she's staying. The options really are incredibly limited.

nah he said that too, the blokes proper knacked after getting hit with a train, you dont walk after that, most likely if hes not staying is he will leave with his dad as that actors come back for more filming.

hes got a dad and a carer, plenty of options you dont just kill off a bloke cause hes knacked.

That would be the most ridiculous thing since Viv's invisible death! Jackson hates his dad. They can't just have them bond for two weeks and then go off into the sunset together. How absurd.

plenty of people fall out and then reconsile with a parent, happens all the time, if he cant cope with aaron not being with him then leaving is a much better option than topping yourself, and it would be good and healthy for him to re-bond with his dad.

But it's not that he can't cope with Aaron not being with him - it's that he can't cope with his situation generally. He's said he'd rather be dead than never be able to do anything except be spoon-fed. Being with Gerry isn't going to change that and he would never go off with his dad after everything Hazel has done for him.

I think he's more likely to kill himself? it would give aaron and hazel a good s/l. Unless he leaves to go to a special clinic? I could see him doing that as he thinks he's holding aaron and maybe his mum back. I can't see him leaving with his dad if his dad is coming back it's either for a funeral or just to visit imo.

yeah but you get over that dont you in most cases, and with the carer and joe hes getting some freedom back, they are playing this for a relationship so him and aaron can no longer have a intimate relationship he thinks its best to let him go and seeing other men with him would kill him.

There was a similar kind of scene as well:

*Declan tries to fnd out what's bothering Natasha*
*Natasha says she can't tell him but part of her looks like she's thinking about it*
*Nathan turns up looking all menacing*
*Natasha fobs Declan off*
*Declan walks off in a huff*
*Mother and son argue about the plan to frame Faye - often while Declan could still have been in earshot*

I really don't know why Emmerdale needs to have six episodes a week. Five is plenty.

This is a good storyline, and it's being played well, but it's basically ruined the character of Jackson. I have such a soft spot for him, but I'm really annoyed at the writers for choosing him for this storyline as there's not much potential anymore, which is a shame as he's non-offensive, and just a nice, likeable character, IMO, which is rare in soapland. I read an interview with Marc Silcock who plays Jackson in here the other week and we will get to see it more from Jackson's point of view soon as people had been complaining that we're only seeing it from Aaron's eyes. Marc is only contracted until the Spring, and I hope he stays beyond that as I really like Jackson (have done since day 1), but can't see it happening.
