It is indeed.
What a great, emotional piece. Good sense of storytelling and an interesting concept.

Thank you for the link, have never heard of him or this song and completely fell in love with it in the first listen. It's such a sweet, heart-warming and surprising song. It would be perfect as one of the songs in Grey's Anatomy or a poignant moment in a TV show.

I heard him interviewed on today fm ( an Irish station) yesterday. He's from Cornwall and said he moved to Dublin four years ago, wrote some songs and is doing the gig circuit. He first sang live on the radio a few weeks back and got an unexpected amount of youtube hits. He then played on The Late Late show and this song went in at number 3 as a new entry to the Irish charts this week. Don't know if it has been released in Britain yet.
Seems a lovely guy. Brilliant song... hope he does well!!

It was muggy, too hot to sleep
So I went for a walk on Hampstead Heath.
I laid on the grass,
Got a cöck up the arse,
I wasn't expecting that.

I heard this a few months back when it was doing well in Australia. Didn't realise the song is 4 years old.

I didn't either Chris. Heard it for the first time last Sunday.
Very Ed Sheeranesque, but surprised it's zoomed to #1 all of a sudden.
At least it's kept that awful Another Level reboot by Philip George off the top.

Who are you? (sorry, I don't recognise the username )

Well, it's Ed Sheeran who signed him to his new record label Gingerbread Man Records and Jamie performed a 2 minute version of the song on BBC News this morning.

Of course I didn't know all this until I got home from work and did some YouTube digging. I'm astonished that a performance like that can give a song such a massive boost on iTunes.
