Hi all,

Not sure if anyone can help but basically, My blackberry curve 8520 was using the 4.6 version operating system. As I realised this was old and I could probably get the 5. version, I looked online for an update which I found, and upgraded.

My reason for doing this is because my sisters Blackberry was using 'Edge' whereas mine was still using 'GPRS' & I found she could access Facebook Places on hers whereas I couldnt.
When I used my phone after the upgrade, I didnt like the menu anymore, it hadnt changed anything or made anything any better so decided to go back to my old 4.6 version using Blackberry Desktop Software.... as I didnt back anything up, I lost my apps & my text messages!! ... I've also noticed though that when i got a voicemail yesterday morning, it didnt show until the evening...I've now deleted the voicemail but the icon on the home screen of the phone still shows which is really annoying & another problem is whenever I receive a text message I get a flash up telling me to delete messages my sim card is full!!... it cant be as i've lost all of my texts & I had a damn site more texts than this before the phone lost them all anyway.
Ive not had these problems before so how do i resolve them???
Appreciate any help

There should have been a backup file made automatically, try and find where it got saved too and then restore it.

Not going to help you with your restore, but are you both on the same provider?

Sounds like your facebook issue is either

A) you are on different providers, and are in an area where hers is better at the time of comparison.

B) your network settings were set differently to hers
