Do You Watch Every Episode?
vestachelles

It's just occured to me that I might be a bit OCD. I only watch EE but I have to watch every episode even if that means recording them and sometimes catching up with several at once. I can't watch a later episode before I've seen the one before it, and if I switch on the TV and it's a few minutes into the episode I have to switch over or start it from the beginning.

Is this normal?

I watch every episode of Eastenders even in the utterly crap bits. I'm a bit addicted.

I never miss a single episode of Emmerdale, H&A or Neighbours. I watch Hollyoaks (rarely miss an ep) and Corrie and EE too but don't have to watch every single ep of them.

I haven't missed a single episode of EE since early 2009 even though I don't always pay that much attention to it

I watch every episode of Emmerdale as it's my favourite soap, and if I'm out, will watch the next day! Been watching every episode of Corrie lately as it's been quite enjoyable, but sometimes I can take it or leave it. Dip in and out of EastEnders as I think it's a bit crap in general, and the only character to make me laugh is whatsherface - Denise's sister, and Fatboy!

I watch every episode of Emmerdale and Corrie - but if I Miss one or two if I'm out - I simply catch up on ITV2 - or watch the omnibus at the weekends, and tune in at the right time. *I don't have recording facilities at the mo, so this is perfect for me.

I have watched every single episode of Doctors, Casualty, Holby City and Eastenders. If I am going out then I record them.

I never ever miss an episode of Coronation Street and I will always defend it to the bone. (or at least some aspects of it to the bone!). Our family has recorded the whole series and even if we're in it will still record, on the offchance, that say the phone rings, or one of us faints, or some hugely unlikely scenario occuring. It's not OCD! And, i think the fact that we're on this forum talking about soaps and getting highly analytical and imaging up storylines etc is slightly more extreme than say watchinge very episode.

Erm, no. I diagnose that you're a fan of the soaps. You are perfectly normal in the world in which you live.

At least that's what I tell myself...

I find I can miss several weeks of the Australian soaps and not notice a jot. I just think "Oh, I must have missed their exit".

With the big four, I agree. Definitely can't miss an episode. I suppose it all depends on how big of a fan you are though, and Australia hasn't been producing the goods for a few years now.

Yep, usually as blocks of episodes on ITV Player. Not only that but I hope to catch up with the episodes shown before I started watching! I'll get there one day...

I've not missed a single Corrie EE or Emmerdale I would think for 2 or 3 years, though I do miss the odd scene here or there. I've missed probably less than 1% of episodes in the last 8 and a half years.

This still surprises me, you being a scot and all that. I've heard of a few other people my side of the border who say they prefer the STVPlayer as well as me. Though I was just thinking - is it so that you can read the credits easily for that Corriepedia site jamesisace told me about? And yes, come on ITV, sort it out so that us fans can watch old Corrie and Emmerdale/Emmerdale Farm so that we can see what we missed. It's not our fault we were born too late! lol

Not arsed in the slightest about CS or EE, but Emmerdale is compulsory and compulsive viewing; just happily watched 6 episodes in one go due to missing em all because of uni work.

ITV Player is better than it used to be as I don't get adverts on it anymore (I assume it's the same for everyone?).

I think the last episode I missed was one in 2008, during a point where someone else was doing the write-ups .

No adds? I still get them and I think most others do - how did you manage to get round that you lucky so and so! Sometimes they even provide me with a 'bonus' add break if I'm on part 2 and move the slider again! It really makes me .

Further to my last post the Beeb should sort something out for EE too. A 'best of' boxed set would be a start. Can't believe they didn't do one last year!!

There's dedication! You might have a record on your hands there!
