Chris Gascoigne (Peter Barlow)

Absolutely outstanding tonight, would be nice to see him win Best Actor this year and get some recognition rather than Scott Maslen and co. Scott is albeit lovely but Chris is in a league of his own, let's hope he gets rewarded for his efforts

he + Jane Danson have been fantastic throughout the whole of their storyline. Especially during the climatic episodes such as tonight, the bar opening, and of course, in the Live ep.

I don't think he's that great personally. He's not very good at frustration (which he's having to do a lot of lately). He's perfectly decent though, just not award worthy for my money.

I find Chris very believable and also his little scenes with young Simon are so natural.

I think it's true that he's generally underrated. He rarely gets mentioned.

However, when it seemed possible that he was going to die after the tram crash, many people on here (including myself) came out of the woodwork and said how much they appreciated the character!

They're all his. One was meant to be a panther's head with his name underneath it but the guy spelt his name wrong and had to cover over it with another panther.

I can't stand Leanne but Jane is amazing, they bounce off each other.

Both Chris and Jane Danson (Leanne) have a very believable connection with Alex Bain (Simon) It's this dynamic I think which makes me want Peter and Leanne together even though I would like to see Peter with Carla as well. Chris Gascoigne makes Peter a very sympathetic character evern when he does wrong. It's interesting how Peter has made Leanne a much maturer young woman to the teenage wild child she was.

Chris and Kate Ford work so well together imo I cant wait to see more scenes with just the two of them in the coming weeks.

He was very good in last night eps, made me really feel for Peter. And he and Alex Bain (Simon) have such a natural connection on screen. It's great to watch.

Be a bit weird if he was anything else at the moment !

Excellent actor, who is always given some very intense story lines, which are brilliantly acted.

Enjoy his ' partnership' with Jane Danson.

He's legitimately hot. I like his friendship with Ciaran. It's all good.

Hmmm, Peter and Ciaran and me and jam. *heads off to lie down and have a think about that*
