I had a lovely meal from the takeaway tonight but I could only eat half. It was Special Fried Rice which has lots of different meat in and prawns, onions, celery, carrot, all sorts of bits and bobs and I had a pancake roll.

I shall have the other half tomorrow and I was wondering how to warm it up, any help would be much appreciated.

If I'd have eaten it all, I would have been too full and I dont like to feel like that.

Thanks in advance.

So you've got half a portion of special fried rice to heat up tomorrow?

Microwave. 2 mins, stir, another minute or so.

As for the spring roll if it still exists - oven for 20 minutes, 160-180c.

Reheat in a wok if you have one, if not a normal frying pan will do.

You could nuke it in a mic ofcourse, but it isnt quite the same.

Thanks very much for your replies, yes, there is half a spring roll left.

Both sound good ideas, microwave or in a large frying pan, havent got a wok and the oven for the spring roll.

The problem with reheating stirfrys is that the veg is usually sorry and limp by then. If you don't mind that then the microwave will do but if you want to try to add some extra texture and taste then a hot wok with oil and maybe some extra sauces/spices thrown in.

Make sure it's heated thoroughly throughout.

Yep this is the only real important bit - rice is notorious for food poisoning. Personally I would zap the rice and then grill the spring roll (my oven takes ages to heat).

Hi there, I have to confess, I placed the chinese takeaway including the spring roll on the lid of a casserole, put the body of the casserole on top and put it in the oven for about 30 minutes on gas 5 and it was F A B. It was piping hot and yummy and moist too.

I did appreciate your help though, thanks again.
