Home And Away - 1995 Train Death
ABCZYX

Does anyone remember this scene from 1995? Troublemaking Italian exchange student Laura Bonnetti played chicken with a train, but didn't make it.

The actual impact didn't get shown, but I love the way it just freezes into silence instead of the usual cliffhanger music. It is quite chilling.

Oh I remember it well, didn't the actress who played Lara return to the show years later as another character with whom Curtis got obsessed with? good era of the show I'd love to rewatch the entire 90s Home & Away again.

Yes, she came back as someone who had escaped from her abusive boyfriend.

The mid 90's were undoubtedly THE best years of Home and Away.

So true and so many good characters like Shane & Angel, Selina, Shannon, Roxy & Travis etc

Good times, I was gripped by the ongoing Selina and Crazy Saul arc

I actually think 05 up to Kate Ritchie's exit in 2008 were the best years of the show, and these were the highest rated in Australia too. The show needs Kate Ritchie back!

No, the stalker reveal in 2005 was the show's highest ever rated episode, getting 1.7 million. Maybe Bobby's death was the highest to that point?

Yeah, that's extremely high for any Oz show, it would be the equivalent of our fifteen million!

I remember that episode it was chilling. I remember her well. I loved that era in Home and Away. I never missed an episode. I don't watch Home and Away now, but I was obsessed with it when I was at school and it was on ITV.

My first tv crush was Shane Parrish on Home and Away. The characters were all great back then Pippa taking everyone in, Sally, Angel, Blake and Meg, Finlay Roberts, Tug, Sarah, Shannon, Curtis, Jack, Laughan, Chloe, Bobby, was so sad when she died, Roxy, Travis, Luke the hot teacher with long hair played a saxopone ah he was hot, and Irene when she first came into played by another woman who was proper scary, Ailsa, Stephen, Jesse, Fisher aka 'flathead', as the school teacher/head master.

My fav character though was Selina. I had a proper first time girl crush on her. I got loads of black bands to put on my wrists and used to wear my hair up high on my head pushed forward like her. The creepy sect thing she got involved in, her on going affair with her teacher stephen and when she got pregnant with her daughter Maddie, who she lost. My fav stories of hers.
