what is t mobile like these days? I set up a thread yesterday asking about 2 phones i was interested in but no replies

i looked at their coverage map and it says coverage is very good where i live, but the actual map indicates ok. it also mentions that if coverage can not be found it will roam to use oranges cover, this suggests their coverage sucks.

I do not want to sign into a contract then the signal is poop!

T-mobile signal is ok. I have had trouble with the signal sometimes though. The signal seems to be better now that they have teamed up with Orange.

i've had signal problems with vodafone, but i think its personally down to my phone.

i'm not sure about contracts i only use round abouts 100 mins and texts a month, plus i would like to use the internet. seems t mobile has the best deal for the £15 mark, as they offer flexible boosters! they have the phone i like the look of too, but its a windows phone. i've heard it glitches alot.

i would like an android phone but they are massive, bigger than my head ( i have a pea head lol)

I've only been with T-Mobile for a few weeks but have had no issues at all so far either with calls or web. In fact my new phone does slightly better at my workplace (a bit of a signal black hole) than my old LG on Asda mobile, which i think uses Vodafone's network.

I've gone back to T-Mobile after being with O2 and Orange.

Their signal is excellent IMO, rarely roams onto Orange, and this weekend I travelled to Bristol and even through the countryside etc, I was still getting full 3G signal a lot of the time, good luck getting that on O2 or vodafone in the countryside!

The Internet speeds are great and very consistent no matter what time it is.

I would agree with that. T-Mobile have been the best network I have been on for a while - the internet speeds are very consistent and the 3G coverage is great.
I hope that doesn't all change when the network integration gets further underway.

The roaming is just because of the Everything Everywhere, so the company is ran by the same group as Orange. Round here you are much more likely to see an Orange phone roaming on T-Mobile than a T-Mobile phone roaming on Orange.
I would suggest you look at trying a PAYG sim if you can. If you order your contract online you can use the streetcheck guarantee.

It will be interesting to see if the speed caps that tmobile customers have on their accounts carry over to the new integrated network on EE.

As others say the network sharing with Orange does make things alot better.

One thing that is far worse on T Mobile these days is the Customer Services. Dialling 150 used to take you to a very helpful UK call centre. Now you enter automated call hell.

T-mobile has definatly got better since i joined them 10 month ago. The signal has improved and the data is very consistent.
The new owners ETEW seem to be living upto their name Everything Everywhere.
You have a cancelation period 14 days i think so if you dont get a satisfactory signal just send it back.

I know some people knock T-Mobiles CS. I can only speak how I find. I reported to T-Mobile a network problem last week (very slow data speeds). I was transfered to the higher level tech dept who ran though some tests with me. They confirmed that it was a network problem, and it would be reported to the network team. Today had a call from CS informing me that they were due to look at the mast at 11.20 today. Once they knew what was wrong they would let me know. GOOD SERVICE. I have used other networks and reported a fault and weeks later it has still been ongoing.
