But again, charisma is such a personal and subjective thing. For me, Johnson has bootloads more of it than ComedyDave who is the skating equivalent of a sleeping tablet (with added Moyles ) so ... that's the public vote in action!
I agree with this. To be fair to Dave, I don't listen to his radio show, so maybe he's amazingly charismatic on air, but all I'm seeing are two not-terribly-good skaters performing fairly simple routines, neither of whom are very charismatic on ice. Johnson seems to have made more progress, however, so personally I'd keep him in over Dave (and I'd keep them both in over Kerry, who can barely stand up unaided).

People need to realise that this IS a TV show first and foremost and therefore its aim is to ENTERTAIN.
And think about it this way: how entertaining would the show be if we knew that the least able contestant was voted off every week? That would be quite boring to be honest. How boring would the XFactor have been without Wagner or those annoying Irish twins (what's their names again?)
So, even though I'd like to see Kerry gone, just 'cos I don't like her, I remember that it's ONLY a TV show after all!!!!!!!!
Last but not least, it will all come out good in the end, Laura and Sam will deservedly be in the final (Jenifer would never have made into the final), so the best will eventually win. Stop panicking peeps.

cant see it myself at all im afraid,id go so far as to say he has almost no personality,a bit wooden like his skating.
still if people want to vote for him because hes "brave and nice"thats their perogative but were losing sight of what this shows about..its coming to something when certain people are being kept in because people are fans of the pro skater their teamed with, very cynical of DOI to do that as well.they know full well Matt and Dan have huge fanbases.

I was responding to your comment that you didn't mind CD staying because he had more personality.

If I were to vote, I would vote for Johnson because from his starting skating ability he has, for me, improved the most - which is what I actually thought this show was about.

its about that for some people but i would always vote for the best skater ultimately not most improved..otherwise Ray Quinn and Hayley Tammadon would never have won.
for me the best skater so far is Sam and im saying that as a Vanilla supporter so while id like Vanilla or Chloe to win id have to say Sam is more deserving(so far)
its a moot point really...Neither Johnson,CD,DW or KK are going to win.

Who has questioned their right?

No one, so far as I can tell. Can you show us even one post where someone questioned their right to cast their vote however they want?
the following - and that's just this thread

Absolutely ridiculous.

I'd like to know who is voting for the likes of Dave/Kerry/Johnson/Denise and ask why the hell they are giving them votes over people who can actually skate and dance on ice!!
Will people stop voting for Kerry,Comedy Dave and the soldier boy. This is DANCING on ice.Jennifer going out is absolutely ridiculous
The public need to realize that these competitions should not be base on popularity
WHO is honestly votes for these people, for god sake come on kerry/johnson/jeff/denise really cant skate and if people are just doing it becuase they like them then well sorry but that is not fair on the other talented skaters like Rob/sam/laura and chloe where they are blindingly good skaters and at this stage in the competition they should not be in the bottom two, unless their performance was shockingly bad.
Why are people voting through such drivel? Makes me mad.

Jennifer by far wasn't one of my favourites, but she didn't deserve to go tonight and both her and Rob did not deserve the skate off. Hope people who wanted Jennifer or Rob through actually take notice now and vote like their lives depended on it next week. We can't have another situation like this again.
We also have whole threads dedicated to maligning the public vote.

Starting with the one telling the GBP they haven't a ****ing clue how to vote.

It's ludicrous but if people prefer to see idiotic and crap skaters go through over talented ones, then we'll have to put up with it

I fail to understand how people can spend their money on voting for crap skaters though - surely if ypu're going to spend money on voting, it's best spent on the talented ones

Can't believe that Vanilla Ice was in the bottom two..I think he's fab, loads of enthusiasm and puts on a great performance every week...I can hardly bring myself to mention Carry Katona....I don't care for Denise Welch much either but did think she had improved this week, and as much as I like Comedy Dave he is pretty hopeless...Johnson is giving his fee to charity so I guess he will continue to get votes, he's a nice guy and I hope he does well, but I do wish they would stop with all the sympathy..I doubt very much he likes them keep harping on about it! I don't care for Sam, yes he's good but he has an unfair advantage over the others in that he used to skate a lot, Jeff...blugh...no thanks, to sugary sweet for my liking! I think Jennifer went because she didn't seem to come across very well in front of the cameras...shame though as at least she could skate!

If Vanilla doesn't win (and i'm not daft I know he wont) then i'd like to see Laura win.

I think to an extent people are brainwashed into "championing the underdog"

Except they get the definition of underdog wrong. The plucky underdog should at least be able to DO it!

If only this were true.
What we witnessed last night was an example of the worst type of TV show ever produced in this country.
The following statements , I believe to be true.

1. The public vote is solely a money making exercise.

2. The producers decide the result.

3. The more you pay for a celebrity, the longer they have to be kept in. (Ulrika -Celebrity Big Brother).

4. Certain judges/panellists will be made to be shocking each week, or next year - no contract.

5. Arguments will be rehearsed and staged regularly.

6. People who know less about skating than next doors dead rabbit will sit on the judges panel.

7. British TV is riddled with this tripe.

8.The British public love tripe.

I fear all of the above is true- how depressing

Dave has the Chris Moyles fanbase. Johnson has the war hero vote (plus the furore with Jason and Karen tonight may have helped). Denise was undermarked this week so people might have voted for that reason, plus she has the Loose Women vote, and Matt Evers.

F knows why people are voting for Kerry though...
Daniels fan base would have helped her
