Looks like we have a new main character for series 2
Former lost star joins Hawaii 5-0 I think this an excellent piece of casting that could add loads to the dynamic of the cast. |

I cheated!
As I'm going to miss the next two episodes because of my holiday tomorrow, I just finished watching the remaining episodes in the season
I just couldn't wait and I'm glad I didn't--- wow, the last two episodes were awesome Lots of twists and an incredible cliffhanger had me on the edge of my seat and my heart is still pounding from the last ten minutes! ![]() I love Hawaii 5-0 and Season 2 can't start soon enough!! |

H5O is condescending and the characters explain really obvious things to each other, just like some episode of CSI.
oops forgot, it's for the American market ! |

oops forgot, it's for the American market ! Funnily enough, I watched a couple of NCIS episodes yesterday and was thinking the writers handled this aspect in a much less patronising way - they're much more subtle about it. |

I don't know what's happened over the past few weeks, but the team seem to have lost that feeling of togetherness that has worked so well until now.
Chin's story is getting interesting. I found it strange that in such a close knit team, only Steve took time out to wish him luck with his hearing, though. Liked Danny leaping over the car and throwing the BBQ grill at the guy he was chasing. I definitely feel the writers are giving he and Steve less opportunity to have much banter ![]() And suddenly Steve is becoming much more the boss man, which doesn't work for me when he has such an experienced team. A watchable episode but it does feel like we've been treading water a bit these past couple of weeks, waiting for the finale. I've already admitted to liking Scott Caan, especially in this role. But I would hate this show to get so that he's the only reason I watch, so I really hope the next two episodes will be back to top form. |

I've noticed Steve and Danny are rarely stood next to each other, because Danny is a titch.
Yet their close-ups imply they are the same height. I bet young Caan is miffed he isn't tall. Grace Park , nice face, but where's the body ? Dumb and dumber, why the dumbing down ? |

Grace Park had her bikini on in tonight's episode, if you haven't seen it yet - or maybe the show isn't your thing anyway - it does require a certain suspension of disbelief! |

oops forgot, it's for the American market ! - The no lawyer intimidation interviews - The random violence, like Danny throwing a BBQ into someone's face when chasing him down on the beach - etc.... All stuff in the real world, that would get stuff chucked out of court. Steve should know better as well, being military on sabbatical. You'd never have seen this sort of stuff in JAG ![]() It some respects it's falling down the same trap as NCIS LA, 24 etc... Does not exactly show American law enforcement in a good light - esp. round the world where people just view them as Cowboy's. Still hugely enjoying it though

They're quite often stood together - there's about a foot difference between them! But it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I know it's TV, but I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable with the random violence and abuse of so called suspects.

yeah could have followed me......H5~0, isn't a Doumentary Series... ![]() The analysing fuel from Gas Stations was a laugh on Sunday, to identify where the fuel came from for the fire-bombing was straying into CSi Pseudo-science mumbo-jumbo land. Steve is US military Commander, so the random violence and abuse of suspects, and casual disregard for the law will go against his US Uniform Code of Military Justice - Like I said, a big JAG fan

Pretty crap episode last night.
That whole Kono and mystery man thing was cringe worthy as hell. I really couldn't care less about it. Also Chin's side story is something I'm not liking much. What he is doing is not admirable its just plain stupid, sure it was admirable to take the flak while his aunt was still alive to keep his uncle out of prison, but now his uncle has nothing to live for and might as well go to jail and clear Chin's name so he can get on with his life. The mindless violence doesn't bother me, in fact its really one of the only reasons I watch it. The cases are usually pretty thin that if it wasn't for the violence and banter it would be pretty shit. |

Maybe I need help?![]() The violence doesn't bother me either to be honest - mostly because it's so far fetched...although if Im really honest, Steve's character irritates me ever so slightly sometimes...i think the superhero aspect needs toning down just a little bit - like i said last week, he's morphing into an extreme version of Horatio Crane - allbeit with a little more personality! The thing with Kono and her admirer seemed totally irrelevant - it seems to be part of a thing the writers have going at the moment where the team are being spread out more and not always acting like the tight unit that seemed to be developing at the beginning - there was a chemistry building that was looking to be almost as good as the one in the original NCIS, which, imho, is the best there is (when they aren't being distracted by their love lives, which doesn't happen too often). I can only assume Chin's story is heading somewhere that might impact on the team because at the moment it does seem misplaced - unless his borrowing the money means he stays with 5-0 rather than going back to his old job? No doubt the next two episodes will start answering some questions. |

The other point about that is, that were his uncle to be found guilty and sentenced, they would then have every person put in jail thanks to his uncle, suing for wrongful imprisonment and compensation as any half competent lawyer would be casting doubt on the veracity of his uncle's policework. Chin doesn't want that to happen. |

No doubt the next two episodes will start answering some questions. I don't know why they didn;t just 'borrow' another $200K from the evidence locker, as that gets magically replenished - even if borrowed contents get burned. |

How can he not get arrested or sacked - he is either a liar or a liar and a thief. Both are, even in wondeerful Hawaii, Gross Misconduct.

Does anyone know why Sky1 edited a small scene (featuring about three lines of dialogue) out of last nights episode? It was only about ten seconds so it can't have been for time reasons, and there was nothing that could have been considered offensive in the lines that were missing from the Sky1 aired version. I don't understand.
