yeah that was a good scene, predictable but brilliant none the less.

wonder were they are going with this Kono story, hopefully it is undercover as if not she is putting Chin's career at risk

Yeah, I'm sure Kono must be undercover.
I'm feeling a bit like the original team is being sidelined a bit at the moment, to be honest, in favour of the new characters, which is a bit of a shame, as I really liked the dynamics of the team last season.
Actually having Steve turn into Superman for real was hilarious!!
I didn't get what they were watching on the screens at the end though - too much chatter going on around me, so I missed what was happening there - can anyone fill me in?

The end scene was a Seal team going in and destroying the Cartel that had taken out the hit on Seal Team 9.
And i'm convinced Kono is undercover, it is the only explanation to the Tom Sizemore scene in her home, where he said "i hope you are a better liar than that", or else that makes no sense with him then seemingly driving her out of the force.

Is it me, or has Kono's role got much smaller?
Even with this storyline going on, she seems to be getting a lot less screen time - maybe she'll feature more as this story progresses, though.

The down-to-earth Alex – whose previous credits include The Shield, Moonlight and short-lived medical drama Three Rivers – is keen to talk about season two of Hawaii Five-0. Season one ended with Governor Jameson (Jean Smart) killed, McGarrett framed for the murder, Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) rejoining the Honolulu Police Department and Kono (Grace Park) arrested for corruption.

“He puts the team back together, but it’s severely fractured,” Alex, 35, previews, as he rides in the back of the car with his dog on his lap. “There’s a whole new level of problems for McGarrett this season, with a new reality about the governor, Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) and his father, plus the connectin between the three. So there’s a lot of focus on what he’s going to do about that and how he’ll find out what went on.”

Hawaii Five-0 premiered in Australia earlier this year with much hype, thanks to the success of the original series starring Jack Lord, which ran from 1968 to 1980. And now that the rebooted show has come into its own, Alex hints we’ll see McGarrett in a different light this season.

“What’s great is now I get to play with a character who’s off-centre and out of his element with this new information about his dad,” he says. “Because he’s such a know-it-all and he’s good at everything and figures everything out, it gets really interesting when a character like that all of a sudden doesn’t know which way to turn.”

Although the show killed off Jean Smart’s character, two new faces will arrive this season: Lost star Terry O’Quinn as McGarrett’s mentor, Joe White, and Lauren German as the team’s new profiler, Officer Lori Weston.

“The family we spend all this time with is developing and has doubled in size, yet feels stronger than ever,” Alex says. He describes former Heroes star Masi Oka, who plays the musical coroner we’ve come to love, as “a p*sser who brings a real comic relief that the rest of us don’t have the capacity to pull off”, and reveals he was thrilled when Terry joined his former Lost co-star Daniel on the show.

“They get along great and many of our crew worked on Lost, so it adds another level of comfort to the set,” Alex says. “His character is also a big deal in McGarrett’s life, as Joe White represents the father Steve lost.”

Alex also reveals that an NCIS: Los Angeles crossover episode has been shot, featuring Daniela Ruah, who plays Special Agent Kensi Blye in that hit procedural.

“Joe White flies her out because she’s an expert lip-reader and she helps us pull some information from footage we find of my [character's] father, Jameson and Wo Fat,” he explains.





“I thought it was a really interesting cross-pollination because we’re not NCIS and NCIS is not Hawaii Five-0 – but it worked. It’s great that we can push characters over and back, as long as we make sure that the shows stay true to what they are.”

So as the season gose on the team will come back together with all that we had in season 1 but first steve has to find out about his farther, and he has been through a lot at the end of season one and the beginning of season 2. danny has to deal with his ex wife and the baby which he through was his now is not and not seeing his daughter that much, Kono has her problems and chin is worried about kono. so at the moment they are working together but not communicating much between them. The Ep get better and more exicting every week.

There is a lot to look forward and some big surprises coming your way dealing with all the 4 main characters so it gets a lot better.

so last night's episode basically confirmed the Kono undercover story. not sure why they are bothering to pretend she has gone rogue, that scene at the end where she used chin's password was meant to make it look like she's doing a really bad thing. Chin will follow her thinking she is in trouble and nearly blow the operation, then Kono will explain sthe's undercover (at which point we're all supposed to go OMG! but of course we're really going to go d'uh).

Yes I agree but there could be a twist to it as well. I think kono was looking good in her black dress. Out of all the new characters the one I do not like is Lori the new blonde she dose not fit at all looks like a cold bitch.

That comment Alex makes about the ex-Lost cast is understandable from the performers' and crew's POV, but as a viewer I keep getting "deja-vu" when seeing them together in scenes and it is kind of weird!

Very Hot last night, only positive thing that came out of the episode.
I like Lori.

Thought it was crazy, and very silly....mad too, hated it.

And Danno took along time to appear.

I am with the majority in here who believes Kono is undercover, it makes sense and also her "bad girl" is a similar act to when she went undercover in previous episodes.

The only thing that bothers me is that she was crying in the last episode when it was being reported she was kicked off the force. Why would you be so upset when you know it is not real and once the mission is succeeded your name would be cleared and everything would be explained.

But if she is not undercover she went over to the dark side pretty damn quickly it even took Anakin Skywalker longer than that to decide.

Good episode with the Chopped Hand Murder, and the money in the Ambulance case.....But I've had enough of the Kono story line.

Dr. Gabrielle I like....but sad to see Catherine going away, she was a key member of the team.

Lori, is MY favourite.

Well this was the best Ep so far apart from the 1 Ep getting better every week. We got more steve and danny time this week love that and when they were in the car.
I loved when they went to the museum and danny was smitten and shy with Dr Gabrelle I hope something happens between them both. It was sad when Cath left I think she wanted more from steve but he has a lot on his mind at the moment anyway hope she come back later in the season.
I no not like Lori she dose not fit in with the team.

Steve looked good with out his shirt on last night. I can see problems with him and joe coming up as joe is not doing what steve wants.

Kono a little bird has told me we will find out next week what she is doing. All hell let lose next week a very good ep coming up can not wait you will see more of kono next week.

I didn't see the attraction at first, but I'm starting to see the light.

As for the episode, I think I'm in the minority, I didn't enjoy it much. I'm not a fan of the 'CSI' bits .. I'm a bit squimish so it kind of put me off for the rest of the ep.

And I'm getting a bit tired of the 'person finds body' prologues at the beginning of each episode.

I hate to say this, but I'm not enjoying this season as much as the first, so far, but it's very early days yet, so I'll give it time.

Nothing against the new characters at all, but the format has changed slightly so that whereas it was fairly fresh and different to begin with, it's now morphing into a CSI/NCIS type show (complete with the wacky forensics character - Max, in this case - I like him, but making him a regular character just makes the show too samey, imo).
Nothing wrong with CSI and NCIS, btw, but I liked that H5O had a slightly different set up.

As I said last week, I'm also not liking how some of the original team have been sidelined a bit to fit in the new ones - but maybe I'm being too picky.

I'm liking this season better than the first.
There is still plenty of banter between Steve and Danno. Hopefully Danno and new lady hit it off and Danno will stop moping.

I like Lori, I think she fits in well, she has the banter - like when she said to Steve & Danno "How long you two been married?". Plus she's pretty, some eye candy for the guys

I like the backstory continuing with Joe. It's moving slowly but that's ok for now.

Only thing I don't like so far is the Kono story. It so obvious that she is undercover yet they are are persisting with making it look like she all angsty and gone rogue. Even when it's only her in the room and she doesn't need to pretend (except for the pretence for us at home).
Actually it would be a great twist if she had indeed gone rogue and she became the baddie (will never happen).

Sorry but that line was used in the first season ep 4 and it was much funnier than when Lori said it, and broke up the bannter between steve and danny.

Yes the original team has been sidelined because they have put Lori right in the middle of steve and danny which I don't like. Then there is joe who I like better but is taking some time away as well. Chin and Kono are who have suffered way to little time for them.

But this has all got to do with the team being severely fractured and trying to get back to where they were last season.

Not a bad episode last night, well at least it's wrapped up the Kono undercover thing. I feared they would drag that out longer.

For those of you missing the old team there was plenty of Chin, Kono et al. very little Lori and no Joe.
Hopefully now that Kono's undercover nonsense is out of the way they can integrate her back into 5-0.

^ not much Danny though, he needs a big episode soon to make up for his lack of screentime.

Enjoyed the episode, and glad the Kono undercover thing is sorted.

Was one of the CIA agents an ex member of the cast of 'The Bill', can't remember his name. A slight change of scenery for him.

That was the best Ep so far more like frome season 1 loved everything about it. I think Chin and Malia are great together. kono was fantastic with her toughness and kick ass. Loved with steve, kono and chin together. loved steve having ago at fryer. Loved the end when steve hit fryer and told him to leave his team alone then walked off with danny, kono and chin behind him the fab 4 are back together.

Looks like danny is having to fine somewhere else to live he has to get out from where he is living.

And next week it is the first crossover with NCIS Los Angeles Kensi played by Daniela Ruah will be interesting.

About Lori been reading what the US fans think of her they hate her and have complained in there millions to the tv studios. But they could not reduse her time untill after ep 7 then there will be more of danny and steve more carguments and bromance from then on because they had all ready filmed 6 Ep when the season started. So we just have to hang in their and thing will change back.
