Never watched NCIS, so had no idea who Kensi was....but I did recognise the guy from Southland, Shawn Hatosy.
![]() I noticed Shawn Hatosy from Southland too, to be honest it kind of gave the plot away because I knew they wouldn’t have an actor like him playing background role in the story. And slightly off topic – I was surprised to see Craig McLachlan in this weeks NCIS: LA! |

I don't think it's fair to blame Lori for how different the show is now. Season 1 had CIA girl there for a while and that didn't impact the dynamic very much.
The show itself has changed. As has been pointed out in this thread the type of investigations are different this year. Last year it was terrorists and other super villains. The show would start with an explosion or gun battle. There would be a car chase and then the team (well Steve) would beat up a guy (while Danny pointed out Police procedure) and he'd give them the location of the evil lair, failing that Chin would Bing "Villain secret hide out" so they'd know where the baddies were. Then it would be burst in guns blasing, Kono (a week out of the academy with a dodgy knee) would kung fu a group of thugs using her 5-0 power up. Most baddies would die, leaving one for Steve to say "Book em Danno" for. This year it's a regular murder leaving trace evidence, interviewing a bunch of people, following the clues leading to a confession and arrest. It's a lot more like other cop shows now, CSI, NCIS and so on. All this following clues and interviewing suspects is what's taking up the screen time that you think should be filled with Steve and Danny playing volley ball topless while bickering about which house mate should be evicted from BB that week. |

Yikes not liking the "Halloween episode" so far.
Far to weird and out of the normal style of the show. |

I bet our resident Lori hater was all excited when it looked like she was about to be bumped off.

Surely it can't have been only me imagining her as "slutty wonder woman"? ![]() Quote:

The first series did pay homage to the original but the second series is so far removed, except for the title and character names, it is unrecognizable. What has happened to Danny's tie?

Hi I liked this Ep better than last weeks
THE GOOD They were exploring the Hawaian culture which was good Loved all the steve and danny moments lots off them, the banter between them as well And when steve and danny meet gabby that was funny loved how danny was trying to get that flat cheaper as someone was killed in it then changed his mind because of the lady ghost. Loved how steve, danny, chin and kono worked more together like a team this week More of kono in this Ep which was good Loved how steve, chin and kono was helping danny move all his stuff into the flat. He is still homeless. And we had gracie back dooing Trick and treating with her father |

LORI called Danny "Danno"
I mean, how dare she?? OMG, I must be psychic because I knew someone would take offense at that even though Danny himself seemed to like the idea of seeing Lori in her costume.I don't think Steve would have objected either

Not a bad episode but Freddy Kruger was under used and the cliche horror movie stuuf (sneaking up behind the girl etc) wasn't great (no real sense of danger).
I liked the Danny house hunting stuff. although how much longer can they drag out that story? Hopefully we get a flashback scene of the costume party with Lori as slutty Wonder Woman ![]() The show needs some better villains. body snatchers could have been handled by HPD. We need car chases, Kung Fu fights, gun battles. H50 is becoming any other cop show now. |

This series is amoral when showing satellite images of american special forces killing in far flung places. I don't think we would like it although I think Spooks did do it. |

thought it was a good episode this week, with a bigger case than there has been in the others of this series. Also a little Heroes mention when Max met Morrison.
still no Lori in her slutty wonder woman outfit though which is disappointing

I really enjoyed this episode it was light, fun and good did you notice that they did not shoot any one on this episode this must be the first time that has happened.
THE GOOD The guess star Greg Grunberg was good and played a big part last night The story kept me guessing who the bad guy was Loved all the banter and bromance between steve and danny all the way through this Ep it was fun which has been missing this season. Loved when steve was in danny's new apartment so funny I love the chemisty between them whatching the TV Loved the cargument with the dog and steve in the back seat. Loved all the dog parts Chin and kono working together and kono doing a little undercover work. Kono is looking good Max and his yellow car I need to here a Book Em Danno from steve missing that line where has it gone. |

Another Lost connection joins Jin, Locke and the Hawaii location.
In an episode in which the victim was in a plane crash and the killer was the pilot of that plane. We had the Pilot from Lost (the original one who got smashed by smokie - not Frank).

Something which has been bothering me since S1. What happened with the storyline of the female agent that was working with 5-0 who disappeared with Wo Fat (sp?) in a car at the end of an episode. Wo Fat was supposed to have been involved in her husbands' murder and she was allegedly trying to track him down along with Steve. I feel like I must have missed the episode(s) that explained what her real purpose was etc.
Can anyone fill me in???
