I didnt really like Lori that much, but my main problem was not the character, so much as I didnt like how the shipped Steve's "love interest" from the first season ,the navy girl, off to the Gulf or somewhere about as soon as Lori appeared, for what seemed like no other reason than to give no obstacle to Steve/Lori. Which thankfully didnt happen, but it still annoyed me at the time as I liked that character.
I get what you mean.
I'm equally bugged by the way they abruptly ended Danny and Rachel's affair - some of the background storylines they seem to drop like a hot potato; Lori as a potential love interest for Steve being one of them - it's as if they have an idea and then think better of it so they bring it to a swift end!

Well you might like this bit of news.

Michelle Borth who plays Steves girlfriend Catherine Rollins will become Hawaii Five-0 newest Regular for season 3. So we will get to see more of cath. Which I think is good news as steve will have some love.

Didn't care for this weeks episode. Can't put my finger on it, just seemed odd.

As soon as Lori quit I said to my GF, "bet the navy girl becomes a regular next season!"

Last night was the first time in a long time that I was glued to the screen and not half watching whilst doing something else!
Awesome episode and Scott Caan put in a brilliant performance - back to his best, IMO, as I've found him a bit too low key and mumbling in some of this season's episodes.

Much as I like Joe, I do prefer the episodes where Steve and the team are together to those where he's paired up with him for most of the episode, so maybe him going off for a while isn't such a bad thing?
Best episode of Season 2. I thought Scott Cann put in a brilliant performance, as the distressed Danno.
For me it was all a bit too silly, what with Danno shooting the innocent guy....Did he really have to do it, so he can save Grace, who didn't look that much in danger in the Garage...may have taken them a bit longer, but in the long run she would have been OK.

And as for the race at the start with Lori & Steve, I would have been happy to have lost.

I loved this episode because

The Ohona spirit is back. It was a light hearted, fun episode which we have not had much of this season.
We learn a little more about Hawaiian culture with the Nokoe Warriors.
Case of the week was only so-so but it did not matter I thought the partner and wife were having an affair.
The best part of this episode was
The fab 4 are back. Loved all the Banter, Bromance and 2 carguments
Steve coming home to a messy, smoked filled house and flaming friatta and a dog sleeping in his bed.
Danny can actually swim, but he can't cook. We got a bookem danno and danny saying How about book me a towel
Loved how Kono is getting stronger each week and standing up to steve a bit more
Superseal is back with the tear gas on the roof of the house and danny just looking on.
Loved the scene in the bar at the end with the whole extended team there with gabby and grace bonding on the sand. Steve and kono bonding as well.

I had a big grin on my face through all the Steve/Danno scenes - their on screen chemistry is brilliant!
Quite a good case this week, with a dose of action thrown in - ok it's all a bit far fetched but last night had everything that's good about H50, imo.
Good to see Kono standing up to the boss! She's looking great this season, too, isn't she? I still find her acting a bit detached though, if I'm honest.

Yes that bugged me. Its as if they regretted setting that up at the end of season 1 and started season 2 from scratch in terms of their relationship. If they go down the route of getting them back together again, it would seem silly. But I guess they thought after season 1 it would be more interesting for Danno to have a new girlfriend.

I never really understood the situation where Danny and Lori were found hand cuffed together. Were the writers setting up some sort of jealousy thing between Steve and Danny?

I think lori was hopeing that steve would be jealous but he was not interested in lori he had cath. It was all one sided on lori half she had a crush on steve that is how I see it.

I honesty think Lori was brought in as a potential love interest for Steve, that's why Catherine was shipped off at the start of the season.
Then the writers seemed to completely change their mind and for her last few episodes there was a sudden emphasis on her feelings for him, and off she went because of her unrequited love!!
I think the romances in the show are best taking a back seat, to be honest, because they end up being all over the place in the way they're written!

Not a huge fan of this ep. Although it had a nice false ending and twist, it just fell into the formulaic trap.

And am I the only one who would like a plot that doesn't have them solving a murder?

Yes please - it seems that all the plots this season have involved a murder. Surely there are other crimes in Hawaii to investigate

Good episode though, I've a feeling that lori will be back soon.
She better......

I've only just caught up with that episode....with the Diplomatic Incident....very A Team I thought, with the Van crashing through the Gates.....but Kono looked HOT, as did Lori.....for the last Time.

And Danno Talks Russian...

Just to let you know that Lauren German who plays Lori has been signed up fpr another tv programe called Chicago Fire a drama for NBC. So keeping fingers crossed that the programe will get the green light, she has filmed the pilot already. So Lori will not be back on Hawaii Five.0.

This weeks upcoming episode should be good, Scott Cann’s real father, James Cann, guest starts.
I thought James Cann was great in Las Vegas and in countless films so it’ll be good seeing him in Hawaii Five-0 alongside his son.

Last couple of episode, I've noticed Alex O'Loughlin looking thin.....must be the episodes, after his illness....What was wrong with him?

Good episode last week {just got round to watching it last night} with the Murder of the Boat guy.....but still it goes all A Team, with Steve on the roof, with the tear gas......and could they really get the finger prints from the video...

And with no More Lori,....we had a lot More Kono......

I believe he's supposed to have injured a shoulder and then got addicted to pain killers, for which he need rehab.

For 1 second, I thought that was a future plot line....but for real, very sad.

There hasn't been any confirmation that Alex was addicted to painkillers so I wouldn't jump to conclusions about that.He may have sought treatment before that happened or simply sought advice about pain management. He did suffer a shoulder injury at the end of season 1 so he was experiencing pain for a long time before he sought help, hence the weight loss.

He's been photographed since his return and he looks great--happy & healthy, I'm glad to say

I've also noticed that Alex has looked quite haggard in recent weeks - glad to hear he's looking better now.
Really enjoyed it tonight - I love James Caan and I thought he was great; I really hope we see him again.

You could tell he and Scott were really enjoying acting together too!

This ep was not as good as the others. The story line was very week and I lost interest in the crime of the week. But James Caan was great and had great chemistry with Alex and Scott. It was a fun episode

Loved all the scenes on the boat and all the great one liners that James had.
Book em muscls
you got me there hair do to danny
Calling them sherlocks as in holmes
there were lots more
At the end on the boat eating the pizza showing steve how to eat one.

Really sad watching alex knowing that he has a shoulder injury and with loss of weight, notice from ep 15 onwards. Have seen photos of him since his return to the film set for episode 22 and 23 and he is looking great and healthy, He had five half weeks off to get better he had to miss 2 epiosdes 20 and 21 the crossover ep.

one of the best episodes this season, James Caan was brilliant and you could tell that Scott enjoyed working with him.

though i did think it was obvious who was going to be involved in the plot to kill the DJ as soon as seen the son in law even if it was not in the way I thought.
