Overall I have to say I'm enjoying the 2nd half of the season more than the first - looking forward to the crossover next week, too.
I agree with you, the second half of the season has been much better than the first half. And i'm really looking forward to next weeks NCIS:LA cross over episodes, its just a shame Steve won't feature in them.

I thought this episode was OK not great, not Bad

Missed steve a lot
always liked danny and chin together
Could have used kono more disappointed there
not a max fan only in small amounts not the whole ep

So did you see they used footage from season 1 episode 7 called Ho'apono for the Japan scene with steve same shirt and same background.

The second half of the season for me was better from ep 10 on wards, than the first half because Lori was cut right back and not in your face. The storys were better as well.

Not a NCIS:LA fan but I will watch.

Good episode last night, I didn't really miss Steve that much to be honest, thought Maxs story was good.

I'm also wondering why we're not seeing as much of Kono as I feel we should be

I'm still amusing by watching Terry O'Quinn. He has been in JAG, NCIS and Hawaii 5-0 and they're all set in the same universe

Yes more Kono...as we don't have Lori anymore...

Didn't miss Steve too...and Danno, has a Desk....he was behind it too.

Oh yeah.....good case, with the 'Trash' Man murders....and personal for Max.

But the Bad Luck for the broken down Women, to have one Creepy guy stopping, to then have a second....

i didnt think the episode missed steve, it allowed the focus to be on the other members of the team and max's story was interesting

do agree that we need more kono on screen, preferably in a bikini

The plot felt a bit "recycled" last night but I thought the NCIS guys fitted in well - LL Cool J and Scott Caan played off each other quite well, I thought ("nice ride - what do you call her?"
"um - car")
It was odd Steve wasn't there but I felt the rest of the team got to have more relevance than they might've done had he been there - Kono's sniping skills were cool!
I watched the NCIS:LA version of the crossover afterwards though, and really didn't like it
The plot was stretched paper thin by the time they took it to LA, the writers didn't seem to integrate the 5-0 guys very well - Chin and Danny were a couple of spare parts for most of the episode- and they completely overdid Danny's snarkiness, IMO: the part where he traded insults with the blond NCIS guy was ridiculous.
Is Steve back next week, do we know?

the hawaii 5-0 episode was good and seemed to work but the NCIS LA bit you could see what Steve's part was meant to be, the LL Cool J - Chin race to the bad guy was clearly meant to be some sort of SEAL race.

enjoyed both episodes though dont think i would watch NCIS on a regular basis seemed a bit too geeky for me

Good point about the chase.

This was the first time I'd watched NCIS:LA, and I have to say I don't think it's a patch on the original NCIS.

Funnily enough, I saw an episode of NCIS: LA not too long after starting NCIS, and I hated it and predicted that I would never watch it again. But now I love both series equally, or should I say all three to include H50 Guess the different dynamics take some getting used to.

It's NCIS on steroids.

The first half was good but part 2 NICIS Los Angeles sucked really bad
The story for the first hawaii half was intersesting

The beginning scene keeping alive steve and his story and showing the depth of Danny and Chin's worry for steve and the return of the champ box.
I loved the exicting car chase and the banter with danny and sam that was good
Kono being the sniper again and chin teasing kono about her mystery boyfriend when her phone went.
Sam wanting to name danny's car Winifred

NICIS Los Angeles half was BAD
It was like another different story and I lost interest became borring
The writers did not intergrate Danny or Chin into the story so they were like a couple of spare parts
The Banter was over done and was not funny.

Next Week Steve is back and I here it is a good ep lost of action, Wo Fat is back and other surprises do not miss it

It's NCIS on steroids.

Im the same I watch H5O online so ahead of here and because of the cross over started to watch NCIS LA and because I watch it from the start of season one I am now a big fan of it.

Yes its not the same as NCIS which I love for many year but I glad its not as it would just seam like a sad copycat.

Instead we have NCIs that more forensic science and NCIS LA thats more undercover ops.

Ah, but Gibbs doesn't need steroids
Actually I'd love to see what DiNozzo made of his muscle-men counterparts!

It'll be interesting to see Steve's return next week - thanks for that info, Mandyblue. I hope there's a team effort going on - it's been a while since they've all worked together.

I thought both episodes were brilliant. But then, I'm not biased against either one.

I'd say you won't miss much if you only have the 5 0 part of the story, but others might disagree.

I was thinking the same thing, my guess (and hope) is that each programme will include the episode from the other programme as a bonus feature.

Does anyone know what was done with the CSI and Without a Trace cross over episodes a few years back?
I remember Channel 4 aired CSI as a one off and Channel 5 aired Without a Trace as a one off, but I don’t know what they did with the DVD box sets.

I really enjoyed the Hawaii 5-0 episode but the NCIS:LA team didn't do anything to excite me.The NCIS group had zero chemistry with each other and their banter seemed as if they were acquaintances rather than a tight knit team.I won't be watching any more NCIS:LA, sorry.

I'm really looking forward to this week's episode! I can't wait to see Steve back with his Ohana

As I've never watched ncis_la...I didn't have high hopes for the 'crossover'...episode.....my hopes had completely gone after 30 minutes of the H50 part, and I turned it off as well.

Wow Wow Absolutely loved this episode
Everything that I love about 5.0 was in this episode. The action, drama The bromance Team work

So happy to see Alex/steve back at his best and looking very healthy
Loved all the scenes with steve and wo fat the fight scense were well done and very intense. The gun fight with the yakuza and high jacking their helicopter
Loved kono and adam story line
Loved the 2 great phoneguments with steve and danny missed that in the last 2 ep
Loved danny with the CIA and how he got out of trouble
Loved the end with steve saying bookem danno and everyone hugging steve to welcome him back just loved that bit.
The very end with steve putting wo fat in jail and the eyes od both steve and wo fat looking at each other I dont think wo fat will be in jail long proberly one of the storys next season with the CIA helpping him get out of jail

H50 goes from strength to strength, i do disagree about the crossover ep, i enjoyed it alot, but i am an NCISLA fan anyway. I liked the early phonecall too, long distance bromances can work!
