LOL. I certainly was! We were trying to work out timelines last night!
I hope it isn't that. It would make the big reveal fall completely flat because it's so glaringly obvious. But then I suppose you'd hope the writers would realise this and at least try and think of a better twist.

I do hope so. It would be so cliched. I thought the 'Wo Fat escapes' scenario was tired enough (even though it was novel in that they used a helicopter! I did say that if they were transporting him, they needed air cover as well ..... but then the bad guys had it!).

Oh well ... I'm sure it will all be resolved during the season. But there's definitely more to mamma McGarrett than meets the eye.

Really disappointed that they have killed off William Baldwin, but kept Wo-Fat, bored is not the word!

I think that pretty much sums up how I feel about Wo Fat!

I did also wonder if the story is heading for a Star Wars type reveal, but hopefully not - I think that would really be taking it too far!

Today CBS action have started the first series of the original. Danny smoking, arging with McGarrett and no "book en Danno" as McGarrett shot the villain at the end as he usually did in the first series until the show sufferred the anti violence backlash of the time. It was just a police procederal but still very good.

POSSIBLE SPOILER.............

I think they're brothers, said it straight away!!!

And as for the writers, after creating an exiting, clever way of breaking Wo Fat out of prison, they forgot to have dry clothes waiting for him on the boat!!

You saw him leaving the harbour on cctv still wearing his sopping wet orange prison jumo suit......

Still miles better than NCIS LA though.

I loved this show in the first season, but I find myself only half watching it now - for me the Wo Fat story drags on and on and I've lost interest in it
The scene where Wo Fat was being transported reminded me of something from Thunderbirds though, and I do love that H50 isn't scared to totally stretch the bounds or reality
But on the whole, I feel the writers are running out of ideas.

Others in my household love it, though, so it's probably just me.
Totally Bored with the Wo Fat plot, and what with the Helicopter escape, Police Heist and the Traffic Jam Shoot-Out....all very silly.

Only highlight for me; Kono {boots} still alive, and Kicking Ass....she can jump on my 'Car' any-time soon.

And I never want to see Steve's Mum again, her banter with Danny....and he's still having domestic troubles.

I'm going to give this show one more episode to grip me again or i'm dropping it. I was bored by most of Sunday nights premiere (although i think i'm just generally getting bored of CBS's generic cop procedurals), and the fact that Wo Fat is seemingly the main bad guy yet again is making me quickly lose interest. The CGI work on the helicopter scene was terrible too, it was like a poorly done videogame cutscene!

Helicopter stunt - was totally unbelievable, as the heavily armored vehicle would be too heavy to lift for all but the biggest military heavy lift helicopters.

As with CSi's, 24, etc, the beyond reasonable credibility of science damages shows like these, based in supposed real life. At least you know Fringe is unashamedly bonkers, and does not shy from it.

One thing that drives me nuts about H50, is that it seems to be that only McGaretts team can deal with things...Police station evidence room being robbed? Don't phone it in Steve, drive over, see if you can catch em..(no).

Need to hide Doris from your arch enemy? Don't stick her back on the plane she has just got off, stick her in an HPD safe house, with your girlfriend, tell the fat chap that runs the burger van and when the bad guys come calling, do not alert the swat team out side, or call back up, phone her indoors and tell her to stick mom in the upstairs bedroom ( cos bad guys never check up there!).
I might have just talked myself out of watching this now!

To be honest that's true of any cop show including Hawaii, CSI and NCIS. There's always a bit where the heroes realise that somebody needs help and rush to their aid and always get there before local law enforcement (in fact I remember watching The Streets of San Francisco about 40 years ago and wondering whether they were the only cops in San Francisco).

NCIS LA makes me chuckle. I like how they're always connected to HQ with their earpieces talking into thin air, while the 2 geeks who work on the HQ computers and, occasionally make Star Wars references, hack into every camera on earth via an ipad and a 7 foot screen.

I'm sure once i saw them using the same keyboard at the same time..........ohh those nerds!!!

That is one thing that annoys me... Five-0 is supposed to be some sort of state-wide major case unit, handling "Special Investigations", yet they regularly take charge of run-of-the-mill murders and robberies. Doesn't HPD have detectives anymore?

The original 50 did handle some mundane cases but they were often interstate cases involving tourists, soldiers, spies etc. Of course Hawaii never had a state police, do not know if it is still true. The new 50 will not last 12 years.

Danno's home problems piss me off, not because I think they're boring (they're standard B-plot) but the flack he's getting from his wife. Like he's causing the trouble. She's the one about to uproot their daughter for at least the second time! He basically gave up his entire life to go to Hawaii just to see his daughter occasionally! It must really suck to be a dad in America, if even after all that you're still considered the selfish one and have to put up with any old crap. The ex-wife from Two and a Half Men was the worst though. that poor bastard.

And c'mon, Wo Fat is the half brother. It's like obvious. Either that or Wo Fat's daddy isn't dead and she knows were he is and is friends with him (thus protecting his son).

The whole Rachel/Danny thing is getting on my nerves a bit.
She takes his kid to go and live miles away with someone else, but leaves Danny (again) when she finds out her unborn child isn't his after all because she thinks Stan should have the right to bring up his own child!
Then she's ready to move Grace away from Danny, again.
It's so lacking in any kind of consistency, and totally unbelievable.
As is the fact that Danny's best mate Steve, instead of getting furious at the way his Friend is being treated, is telling him to uproot his life again and move to Vegas?!

I really want to get back into it, but I feel the writers need to sharpen the storylines up a bit and stop going around in circles.

Pretty much akin to the rest of the show, then.

I'd prefer that to be honest. It would be the lesser of the many evils I suppose. If she's supposed to be some kind of intelligence operative, maybe Wo Fat's father was an asset of hers and she sent him in to hiding ?

Having Wo Fat related to Steve in some fashion would just be very, very stupid.
