Feels like the writers have created these elaborate plot devices and now can't bear to part with them.
Steve/Shelbourne/Wo-Fat
Danny/Rachel/Grace
Chin and being dirty cop

Why can't they let any of the characters move forward, rather than leave them in this loop. You have developing relationships such as Adam/Kono, and Steve/Kathy, but they won't allow these to flourish while they still keep going backwards.
If the writers broadened the horizons of the show, it might allow them to open up their world a little and mean they can move away from the more and more preposterous set-pieces they keep being locked into.

Given the recent NCIS:LA cross-over, I'm surprised they haven't gone completely barking and twisted the navy lark stories and uncovered that Joe White (Terry O'Quinn) is really Admiral Thomas 'The CAG' Boone (Terry O'Quinn) from JAG, Esp. as JAG begat NCIS, which begat NCIS:LA. and also as as last we saw Harm and Mac disappeared to NCIS Regional Office @ San Diego Naval Base, just down the road from Hetty and the Gang.

Sorry, I still miss Jag

It's about a zillion orders of magnitude less of a preposterous story arc than Lost

NCIS LA makes me chuckle. I like how they're always connected to HQ with their earpieces talking into thin air, while the 2 geeks who work on the HQ computers and, occasionally make Star Wars references, hack into every camera on earth via an ipad and a 7 foot screen.

I'm sure once i saw them using the same keyboard at the same time..........ohh those nerds!!!
Sorry there is nothing I like about that programme. It is so boring and all the characters are so unlikable

I find NCIS: Los Angeles watchable, but I enjoy Hawaii Five-O much more.

What I find weird is how much better NCIS: Los Angeles does in the ratings in the US. Sometimes it’s bordering on double what Hawaii Five-O gets! While on Sky One here in the UK Hawaii Five-O out performs NCIS: Los Angeles.

The two programmes do ‘partner up’ quite well, so it’s a clever bit of scheduling by Sky.

How do the figures compare NCIS on F(o)X ,

Though none rock, like Grand-daddy JAG used to

Hawaii Five O’s ratings trump both NCIS (on FX) and NCIS LA.

From memory, I think if you averaged the ratings for new episodes of NCIS:LA (on Sky 1) and NCIS (on FX), then NCIS:LA is the more popular, but I don’t think there is a big of a gap as you would think considering you are comparing Sky 1 with FX.
Maybe someone can provide a more accurate answer though.

I'll have to take your word for that as I never watched the show myself

I like both too. Makes Sundays great, except I try not to look forward to them too much as it means Monday (Work) is close and the weekend is over

Episode 13 will air on Sunday Jan 20th at 10pm after the NFL's AFC Championship game. The episode will feature seven unreleased songs by Jimi Hendrix.

H50's tsunami episode had a huge audience when it followed a NFL Championship game so I hope this episode garners even more live viewers. The episode itself sounds really exciting, too.I can't wait!

Good Ep last night

The opening was very sad with Malia's Ocean Funeral scene very well done like seeing Hawaiian culture on the show.
The carchasing was good with the bus as well
Loved all the carguments and Ohana moments
I liked watching the team work to solve the case together which did not involve them reminds me of season 1
Cath's scene at the bar was really fun getting the information out of the agent
Ed Asner was good again made me jump with that lorry killing him
So Doris never left the Island more to come on that
Loved the end with the team together and the scene with chin and danny

Thanks for this. I came onto this thread specifically to find out if he would be back.

I missed most of last season (including the crossover with NCIS: LA), but watched last night. Not a bad opener, although Daniel Dae-Kim will always be Jin to me...

Last nights was episode two of season 3, not the first.

I will always see Joe as John Locke from Lost. He even acts the same in H50 as he did in Lost - very aggravating at times

Great to see him back, in what was a much better episode to the opening one last week, but what a way to go.

Loved the new uniform for Kono, the Medic one.
Max with the Skull reconstruction; doesn't something like that take much longer to do.

And when Steve found the Daughter in the Boot of the Car.....was I the only one who was shouting...'pull the tape of her mouth' at the TV.

And the Mum is still on the Island!.....

The girl was out of it and Steve was tapping her cheek to wake her up.He did the right thing and made sure she was fully aware before doing anything that might scare her further.
