Bored with last nights, voting the ending, one....I just wished the Nephew had been in the Acid Bath, he was a pain and by the end I couldn't care who did it.

Liked Kono's Babysitting Job....with what's he's Name.

Definitely a filler episode but considering the experiment with the vote, I suppose it was just about acceptable

That was really funny and then, to make it even funnier, Steve was more worried that he was deemed old enough to be Rebecca's father rather than him & Danny being married

The episode was..... meh but I did like Kono's interaction with Sang Min.I hope we see more of him.

I agree, that was the highlight of the episode, and dare I say it the bes thing so far about this season.

Yeah. Pretty lame, really; but not a lot else they could have done.

Oh I don't know. From a budgeting and scheduling point of view, they could have filmed a reasonably different ending for each outcome while they were already at any of the locations they'd already used for the episode.

It would have meant extra time at each location obviously, but I would have though that the fact that they were already there and already set up would have meant that logistically it wouldn't have been a major undertaking.

Well I did say "not a lot else" and not "nothing else"

I look at this against NCIS as they're both "case of the week" procedurals and I find at the moment that this is infinitely better as the characters are all easy to care about. The characters in NCIS just don't change week in, week out and I find most of them quite irritating - although having watched the show for 9 years, I find I can't quite dump it just yet

I don’t watch NCIS, but I do watch NCIS:LA, and also classify it in the same ‘procedurals drama’ group.
Much like you I think Hawaii Five-O does it much better and the Sky ratings reflect that. However if you look at the US ratings it’s amazing how many more people watch NCIS and NCIS:LA compared to Hawaii Five-O.

I agree with you on this. Actually I have given up on NCIS after watching from the start because the characters are no longer strong enough to keep me watching when the plots have worn thin - I just don't feel the team bond, and for me, most of them have become caricatures of themselves.
With H5O, even when the case is a weak one, and for all that I sometimes find the writing a little flawed, I love all the characters in the team, and I believe in them having each others' backs, if that makes sense?
Whoever did the casting for this show got it spot on, imo.

There was an episode of NCIS last year that I remember watching that was really quite tedious. It ended with some kind of tribute to some army company of some description. I think it got something like 30 million viewers in the states !

I think that's one thing that puts H5O above NCIS - you definitely do get the feeling they would all look out for each other. And the interaction and humour between them as well also feels very natural. With NCIS, it's invariably just DiNozzo making yet another stupid joke about movies, or something Ziva has said or about the eighteen millionth variation on McGee's name ..

Absolutely - DiNozzo could've had some brilliant character development as he matured into as good an agent as his mentor, but he hasn't evolved at all - and in the most recent episodes I watched, Michael Wetherley seemed bored playing him.
(Sorry for taking the thread off topic, by the way!)

This may be a silly question but is tonight's Sky 1 repeat a straight repeat with the same ending that was chosen and shown on Sunday,or are they doing the viewers vote again, which might result in viewers picking a different ending to the Sunday one?

The former, I would assume.

Great one tonight!
It's always good to see Chin getting some action (seemingly, judging by the ending, in more ways than one!)
Kono's storyline is warming up nicely - hope she doesn't end up broken hearted, but it's not looking good, is it?
I like Mullet guy as a character (can never remember his name) - looking forward to seeing what happens with him.
Really laughed at Danno's "spam in a sock" line, about the breakfast Burrito.

Fantastic episode tonight, thought it didn't show what happened to 'Paul Delano' other than him getting smacked around by Danny & Steve.I wonder if Alex Baldwin will guest star as another 'Delano' seeking revenge for 'Paul Delano's' arrest

I love Sang Min! He's a great character and I'm glad he escaped. He speaks so fast that I have trouble understanding what he says half the time but he's brilliant.

So, Chin has been quietly seeing a therapist without telling the rest of 5-0.I'm glad his grief hasn't been totally pushed to one side or forgotten completely.

Kono is using her head and trying to get some answers about Michael's shady goings on but I think her heart's going to be broken. My heart was racing when she was cloning Michael's phone!

Danny had a quiet episode but I did laugh at his distaste for spam.Ugh, Kamekona should stick with the rice & shrimp. It's much tastier

brilliant episode but was quite obvious from start that this was going to be revenge for Frank Delano when you noticed that the guy was a fat Alec Baldwin

its a story they can keep going back to bring in both stephen and alec for revenge.

anyone think its someone very familiar that Adam is talking to as they need to bring that story back somehow?

Yes it was a fantastic episode loved it maybe one of my top 6 episodes this season

Loved that Chin was the centre of the episode and we find out he was seeing a tharapis about his wife death and the other 3 did not know about it.
Loved when steve flew the helicopter over halava, and when duke saw them that little smile that crossed his face. Steve acting like the super seal he is and taking charge with the rescue
Linder Price as leilani could this be a new love intrest or friend for chin
The first scene where steve and danny punching Delano
Sang min trying to help chin then managing to escape himself
Major fight scenes with chin and prison riot
Kono is finally losing a little of her love is blind for adam. I think she is going to get in big trouble with both the brothers.
Cath is obviously stationed in Hawaii now and back at work.

The episode was near identical to an episode of CSI NY a few years back!

But if I was in a Bath with her and my Phone Rang, I wouldn't get out to answer it.

For me a truly awful episode, The A-Team never got this Bad....from Chin in Jail to the Helicopter Rescue....totally unbelievable.

Don't think 5-0 has ever tried to be believable though and I do agree about Kono
