You've just made me realise that I sat through the whole Helicopter mission (and the fact that Shave-Ice just happened to have one handy!), and the Prison break-out without batting an eyelid, yet I commented on how unrealistic it was that the therapist disclosed Chin's personal details to his colleagues, and get annoyed with the writers when one of the team acts out of character!

I did find this one entertaining though.

I do like at least a foot in reality, this episode didn't even have a Toe.

I was laughing during the Prison Rescue....Plus the Violence was OTT, in the extreme.

Hawaii 5-0 is my favourite hour of pure escapism once a week and I'm always sorry when the episode is over.

Great cast, fantastic chemistry among the actors, Hawaii, interesting guest stars, explosions, humour, carguments, basa$$ Kono, SuperSeal, bromance, Danny & Grace, cool Chin Ho, Hawaiian culture, car chases, surfers, Kamekona, wild stunts and great songs---The A Team was never this good

Two hours for me with NCIS LA, but 5-0 is tops!

I've recently got into NCIS:LA and I'm loving it! Its really out performing 5-0 for me. (Hetty is a legend!)

Part of my reasoning is that 5-0 has been lagging behind with really lacklustre plots that just seem to drag, whereas NCIS:LA has really had some great fast pace episodes. Plus it has a bit more of a light hearted feel to it at times. I know 5-0 has Kamekona but he can only do so much in a scene.

Having said that though, this weeks 5-0 was great. Who knew that Chin had the same finishing move as a Bond girl?

Another cracking episode this week

Loved the beginning with Steve showing up for Danny's custody hearing in his dress blues Danny fixing Steve's crooked tie was adorable and I really felt Danny's nervousness through Scott Caan's emotional performance.

This episode had all the team working together well and it moved at a very fast pace.I love that

I thought Denning should've been upfront with Steve from the beginning but he had his reasons. At least he apologized for his actions.

Wo Fat wanting a connection in the US political machine was an interesting development.I don't see Wo Fat giving up on that.

The ending was sweet, with Grace no longer in danger of leaving for Las Vegas with her mother. Some good news for Danny at last!

I absolutely loved it last week, but tonight, not so much
The scene with Danny and Steve in the court room was good - they portray a friendship so well - but the rest of the episode felt off-key to me.
Throwing Wo-Fat in at the end just made me feel like I've completely lost the thread where he's concerned; is it just that he's simply into everything? Is world domination his aim?
On any other show I'd have Danny down as a double agent, as it seems impossible that not one of his bullets hit Wo Fat!!!
And the last scenes with the Governor and Steve, talking about trust - are the issues of trust and loyalty going to come into play later on?
Because it all felt a bit all over the place to me tonight - as though the purpose of the episode was simply to start throwing out threads that hopefully will be pulled together in the series finale.

they didnt just throw him in at the end though, if you saw the bit at the start with the girl about to be shot you can recognise that it is wo fat's voice, so it was obvious he was going to show up at some point though i did think the girl was dead and that confused me a bit

I try not to think about it too much, just go with the flow, but why didn't Wo-Fat have the shooter take out McGarrett whilst he had the chance?

Whenever Wo-Fat is involved, 5-0's markmanship goes to pot. And how convenient that McGarrett had to fly the helicopter, was no other pilot available?

I wonder how many more deaths Wo-Fat is responsible for in the future, because they had to return with the badly wounded (not) Congressman?

Amy knew where the kidnapped politician was being held, she told Steve & Danny, time was of the essence--why would that time be wasted by finding another chopper pilot when Steve is right there

If Wo Fat had the shooter take out McGattett that would be the end of show.

I've a feeling his reluctance to actually kill Steve might be explained later in the series - for me, it's becoming a bit obvious what the bombshell will be, unless we're thrown a huge curveball!
You're right - it is best to just go with the flow, but sometimes, when an episode isn't drawing me in, I start paying attention to all the things I shouldn't be giving any thought to!

Carltonfan - I'm really impressed that you recognised Wo Fat's voice; that went right over my head
I thought Amy was dead too - in fact the plot as a whole was quite a clever one, but IMO, the writing was off. mainly with the characters - I can't quite put my finger on it.
Steve flying the Helicopter was, I suppose, the excuse the writers came up with for Wo Fat being able to get away again - I.e: if Steve was free to shoot, he wouldn't have missed - I just don't know how Danny has survived this long if he's such a bad marksman, and for a brief, crazy moment, when the next scene had Steve and the Governor discussing trust, with Danny in the background, I wondered if the writers had gone crazy, and they really were going to have Danny protecting Wo Fat for some reason

Yes - he's got to find out at some point what his Mum is hiding from him, and also that Catherine has been keeping secrets from him too.

Another great episode this week just loved it

I recognised Wo F at voice as well at the beginning
Loved the court scenes with Danny fixing steve's tie, and steve in his dress blues he looked great.
Danny's speech in court and steve speeking up for him.
Love that Wo F at is back trying to get some power back with the connection with politics.
Loved the helicopter scene with steve wanting to stay and get Wo Fat but had to go with the injured man. They should have got Kono to shoot Wo Fat.
Loved how steve just walked into the governor's office and confronted him.
Steve chat with the govenor at the end was long overdue about five 0, they might trust each other now and the governor will let them get on and just do their job.
Love that Danny got joint custody of grace.

Where do they get these Helicopters from, that don't make a sound until they are just 10ft away.

Did like the Sleazy Case from the Governor {until Wo Fat appeared to be behind it..} this week and Danno's Custody Battle.....but they could have made more of it, 'more emotion' with Rachel being there.

And Danno couldn't hit a Barn Door, if he tried.

I thought it sounded like him, and then seeing the actor's name in the cast list at the start was the clincher that everyone's favourite Yakuza was back

Hi all, newbie just starting on here but a huge fan of Five-0.
Sunday nights are great with Hawaii Five-0 followed by NCIS:LA. I thought this latest Five-0 episode was pretty decent, apart from Danny's shooting ability at the end, but if he simply put a few rounds through Wo Fat as they popped up form beneath the ridge that would leave a lot of unanswered questions.
I believe the helicopter is Kamekona's - who bought it without having a pilots license! - so Steve now has access to a helo whenever he wants really. Just on a tangent I think it's on the Season 2 DVD the producers jokingly suggest Kamekona is going to take over the islands with his entrepreneurialism.
Hope they bring Steve's mother back soon to answer a few questions, her interactions with Steve and Danny are also quite entertaining.
