VERY good episode tonight. The Danny & Steve bromance is lovely and the ending was touching.

It was a remake of an old episode so I thought that the guest stars named in the old yellow writing was a nice touch.

I was going to ask as to why we had the yellow credits and episode title.

This was a very good episode 3 in a row now

Nice to see the Govenore and steve actually talking over a case and continueing their new understanding of one another from the previous episode.
Loved Steve in his take no prisoners mode and being badass being in charged and throwing tear gas to get the man out, and at the same time showing a lot of emotion for the dead men he knows
Kono taking out Stoner at the end.
Danny in full rant mode throughout the episode whating steve to use backup and worried about steve.

First loved the Ep overall ,but hated the "ghostly" finish. Love Peter Weller as the bad guy, Robocop with Robot hands awesome! It was Wo-Fat free (see what i did there) which is a bonus

I especially liked Danno's anti-gun nut rant in the Gun Shop.

Not entirely sure it would have gone down well in the US though, with many having bizarre views on the subject.

I see they've stopped trying to make titchy Danny appear to be the same height as Steve.

I suddenly surprised by the difference in height in last weeks episode, when both of them were walking down a corridor.

The best scene in a poor episode for me....The Dad bit at the end was awful.

But Kono {HOT}....a Ballistics Expert now.....

Another Good Episode last night

I liked Treat Williams playing Mick Logan the PI he had good chemistry with Doris. Although Doris knows what he is upto I think Mick is going to found something out about her.
Kamekono had a bigger part this week and he was good.
Summer Glau playing maggie the niece of Kamekono had a big part and was good.
Danny had some nice one liners.
We had a lot more Chin and Kono this week
The fight scene was good at the end and loved Steve doing the Indiana Jones bit when he shot the guy in the leg.
Loved the end when Mick came and took Dorise on a date the look on Steve face said it all.

I enjoyed last night's episode a lot.The use of a PI to spy on Doris was never going to work as she's to savvy to fall for any lame pick-up line without being suspicious.I LOL when Steve opened the door to Doris' date and saw that it was Mick

The look Danny gave Steve in the car after Steve set up Mick to follow Doris was priceless."You need therapy"

Kamekona really showed a different side of him in this episode and he was really good.Family means everything to him and it showed when he went to help Maggie.

Looking forward to next week's episode.

Completely agree. Great Kamekona based episode plus the casting of Summer Glau as Maggie was good.

Steve's face was priceless when he answered the door to Mick at the end. I was expecting Steve to kick that guy's butt in the pool but blowing out the guy's knee was just as good.

Danny pulling his "what goes on in Steve's head face" on learning about the P.I.

Fantastic series hope it keeps going although I'd like a few answers to the Wo Fat / Doris McGarret story.

So Summer Glau didn't have a fight with Grace Park.

Another poor episode.....and the Mum Plot is really getting on MY nerves now.

My one and only highlight......

"...nice gentleman with the hats and the guns are going to take you to Jail"

Did like Brittany...

Mine too - really made me laugh
Apart from that, and the fact that Kamekona featured, I didn't like this episode.
Doris doesn't "fit" for me, and her character is far too cliche (IMO), and the stuff with the Private Eye felt daft - you get some really funny moments in this show at times, normally involving off the cuff banter, but when the writers try to create a bit of comedy, like with the PI turning up for the date, it feels too forced, for me anyway.
Hopefully it'll be back on track next week.

I think because they're dragging out that element (Steve's mother) of the show it' taking something away from it.

the doris storyline seems to be a " we have run out of ideas, lets bring his mother back" and its poor, it just doesnt work well. hopefully the season finale will kill her off so she isnt in season 4

What exactly is the point of Michelle Borth as main cast?

She hadn't featured for a couple of episodes and then only featured in this last one in the last few minutes once the case was done, seemingly just strutting around gratuitously in her tight denim shorts.

It seems like such a waste, because when she was fleetingly involved in the odd case as a guest star, she was very good. Now the only purpose she serves is eye candy - very nice eye candy, I must say - but she serves very little purpose indeed.

On the other hand, the eye candy is stacking up like it's Waikiki beach or something

- Summer Glau
- Grace Park
- Michelle Borth.

... and 2 of the above having previously having 'Android heritage', surely can't be simple co-incidence

I'm happy she's in the Main Cast...

Same here!

and while I like Summer Glau, I'm somewhat worried as her appearance in shows does seem to signal the end ... Firefly, the 4400, Dollhouse, TSCC, Alphas... I hope lightning doesn't strike again ...

From the point of view you are talking about, then yes, but the point is although she is listed as main cast, she isn't used as such.

In that last episode, she didn't feature until the last few minutes for the lighthearted, jokey scene that usually rounds off an episode after the case has been solved

The problem they have is the USA fans don't want anyone messing with the chemistry of the fab 4 together.
Like they did last season with Lori Weston where she had no chemistry with anyone, was in your face all the time. Took time away from Danny, Chin and Kono.

So this season I think they are doing it slowly with cath being steve girlfriend and helping with doris. Next season I think we will see more of her on the team helping out, as cath fits in well and has chemistry with everyone. I would like to see her team up with kono as well.

She's main cast like Max is main cast, in it just about the right amount of time but not overused and she is still in the Navy so her fleeting appearances can be explained by her being away on military duty.
