Not a bad episode this week...but the ending with Blair in the office, got a bit silly.
But after Catherine appeared in the Fishnets....I didn't really care what happened at the end.

Danny an Expert on Roller Derby....

Roller Derby has been around for years in the US.Scott's father James starred in a film way back in 1975 called Rollerball. It was very violent.

Cath's reluctance to join the roller derby was very funny and I really enjoyed the banter between the whole group. They always look like they get along really well off set
Great film...music was good too.
I still can't bring myself to care about what's going on with Doris
I'm much more interested in what's going to happen with Kono and Adam and his Brother, so I hope that story gets moving again soon.
I thought overall this episode was better than I thought it would be when I read the episode description though, even if there was a bit too much Doris!
Don't care too....but that 'Burglar' wouldn't stop, super human.
yeah i didnt get the dog apearance
Lost on me too.

Doris should have remained dead. Don't like her at all.

Both Bones & Hawaii Five-O have had an all female roller derby murder mystery recently, not sure who copied who but hope thats the end of that theme.

Another decent episode. I think because Dog the Bounty Hunter is based on Hawaii they thought they'd give him a cameo, like they have for actors from the original series.

Didn't know they was such a sport as Roller Derby, only America would come up with it!

Another great part was where Cath came in and said she'd placed second, the Steve asks her what the first place woman's name was. The mischievous look on Steve's face said it all.
You could really see the height difference between Scott and Alex in this episode.
Plus another couple of fragments to the Doris story. One she was being followed and two she's still got a foot in with the agency. I hope we get some answers soon.
I'm also wondering what's going to happen with the Kono/Adam thing. Remember his brother putting Kono's gun back in its holster, what was that about?
Look up the film ROLLERBALL maybe a tad more violent that the ordinary game though

There's no reason to think that either "copied" the other. Episodes are written long before they get round to even making them, never mind when they're actually broadcast

One was aired in Feb, the other in March, both would have been written around a similar time period and the writers are often overlapped. Never mind all the similarities in the episode. There is plenty of reason to suggest that.

Yeah I'd heard of the film but thought it was just some sort of sci-fi make believe . Just didn't know Roller derby was such a popular thing in the states. Not exactly something that's taken off over here the UK if indeed it does occur here.

Alibi showed the episode (Swan Song) of Castle where a documentary crew follows the team, I hope the Five-0 episode isn't as bad as that one was.

I look forward to Kenzie in NCIS:LA/Ziva in NCIS, and Felicity in Arrow doing the same

Perhaps there has been a resurgence in Roller Derby interest in the USA, for some reason, and ever desperate script-writers grabbed onto it - looking for something new other than increasingly over-egging the gore factor.... Bones especially.

It was a cringeworthy opening 10 minutes and I actually considered turning it off - but I didnt and I am glad that I stuck with it. There is a cracking ending which can't be missed.

I have to agree with you, the show has been all over the place with regards to stories and product placement with one particular episode in mind. It feels to me like the budget was cut and it has shown on screen.

It has been a bit messy but I think that's from so much happening in the first two seasons that now they've put the brakes on a bit plus they're only giving dribs and drabs of the Doris/Wo Fat sub-plot.

I do wish the product placement wasn't a bit more subtle - I know it's all part of advertising but still - being smacked in the face 20 times an episode with a close up of the smartphones is irritating, that's what evening programme sponsorship is for and the ad breaks!

Like NCIS-LA, I think Microsoft are a show sponsor. Same as Hyundai for many of the vehicles.

So did CSI Miami in Season 9
Psych did it to about 2 seasons ago and Jules went unercover..

H50 needs to pick it a bit, to many time filling montages for my liking. Oh and get rid of Doris for gawds sake!

I'm not entirely sure of the attraction, over exposure US TV seems to have given to Roller Derby. I'm sure in reality the hot chick ratio is not 100%.

Not like it's a tasteful quality sport with a great heritage like Beach Volley-ball, or jelly wrestling

The whole H50 roller derby was embarrasing..It it usual for when a player gets injured that the manager has to take them back to the office for treatment? Is this the only contact sport in the world where physios and doctors aren't game side? Beyond stupid!
